Hell in the Cell Matches
There have been twenty-five in all (twenty-six if
you include the "Kennel from Hell" Match). Interesting note, every match
but six has had either Shawn Michaels or The Undertaker in it (although, the
Undertaker did interfere in the Mankind vs. Kane match on RAW).
- Shawn Michaels vs. the Undertaker at Bad
Blood 1997 in St. Louis, Missouri--October 5, 1997. This is the
first Hell in the Cell and features the debut of the Undertaker's brother,
Kane.
- The Undertaker & Steve Austin vs.
Mankind and Kane on RAW in 1998.
- The Undertaker vs. Mankind at King of
the Ring 1998 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - June 28, 1998. This is
considered the best Hell in the Cell match ever and one of the best matches of
all time.
- Mankind vs. Kane on RAW in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on RAW--August 24, 1998. This ended in a no
contest and was the first Hell in the Cell not on a pay-per-view.
- The Big Boss Man vs. The Undertaker at
WrestleMania XV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania--March 18, 1999.
- Triple H vs. Cactus Jack at No Way Out
2000 in Hartford, Connecticut - February 27, 2000. This was a famous
match with a flaming, barbed wire bat on top of the cage, followed by Cactus
Back Body Dropped through it onto thumbtacks! It was also a retirement
match if Cactus lost.
- Kurt Angle vs. Stonecold Steve Austin
vs. The Undertaker vs. The Rock vs. Rikishi vs. Triple H at Armageddon 2000
in Birmingham, Alabama - December 10, 2000. This match featured Vince
McMahon having a truck rip the sides of the cage off to take it apart during
the match!
- Chris Jericho vs. Triple H at Judgment
Day 2002 in Nashville, Tennessee - May 19, 2002. This match ended
with a pinfall on the top of the cage.
- The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar at
No Mercy 2002 in Little Rock, Arkansas - October 20, 2002.
- Triple H vs. Kevin Nash at Badd Blood
2003 in Houston, Texas--June 15, 2003. This was for the World Heavyweight
Championship and had special referee Mick Foley.
- Tripel H vs. Shawn Michaels at Badd
Blood 2004 in Columbus, Ohio--June 13, 2004.
- Triple H vs. Batista at Vengeance 2005
in Las Vegas, Nevada - June 26, 2005. This was for the WWE World
Heavyweight Championship.
- The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton at
Armageddon 2005 in Providence, Rhode Island - December 18, 2005.
- D-Generation X (Triple H and Shawn
Michaels) vs. Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon and The Big Show at Unforgiven 2006
in Toronto, Ontario--September 17, 2006. This was a handicap match
and the only Hell in the Cell match to take place out of the United States.
- Batista vs. The Undertaker at Survivor
Series 2007 in Miami, Florida--November 18, 2007. This was for the
WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
- The Undertaker vs. Edge at Summer Slam
2008 in Indianapolis, Indiana - August 17, 2008. The match had Edge
Spear the Undertaker through the wall of the cage, and after it ended, Edge
was Chokeslammed off a ladder through the ring, which the hole was then set on
fire!
- The Undertaker vs. CM Punk at Hell in a Cell in Newark, New Jersey - October 4, 2009.
- John Cena vs Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell in Newark, New Jersey - October 4, 2009.
- D-Generation X (Triple H & Shawn Michaels) vs. Legacy (Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes) at Hell in a Cell in Newark, New Jersey - October 4, 2009.
- Randy Orton vs. Sheamus at Hell in the Cell 2010 in Dallas, Texas - October 3, 2010.
- Kane vs. The Undertaker at Hell in the Cell 2010 in Dallas, Texas - October 3, 2010.
- John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk vs. Jack Swagger vs. Dolph Ziggler on RAW in Kansas City, Missouri - September 26, 2011. This was a dark match that wasn't televised.
- Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell 2011 in New Orleans, Louisiana - October 2, 2011.
- John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio at Hell in a Cell in New Orleans, Louisiana - October 2, 2011.
- The Undertaker vs. Triple H at WrestleMania XXVIII in Miami, Florida - April 1, 2012. This match had Shawn Michaels as a guest referee and involved a sledgehammer.

Al Snow vs. The Big Boss Man at
Unforgiven 1999 in Charlotte, North Carolina. This was a "Kennel
from Hell" match, with the Hell in the Cell with a regular steel cage inside
it - between the cages were vicious attack dogs!
