“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
Stephanie McMahon appears on the screen to kick off the show. “Every
year about this time, WWE presents its premiere event, WrestleMania.
Each WrestleMania has its own personality and has been different
than the rest. Tonight and tomorrow’s WrestleMania will be the most
different of all. There won’t be 80,000 screaming fans in a stadium
due to the current circumstances. Tonight, we emanate from a closed
set with no audience, as well as other locations. Nonetheless, it is
our commitment to you to somehow, someway provide you with a
diversion during these hard times, deliver a sense of hope,
determination, and perseverance, and most of all to entertain you
and your family. On behalf of all of us, especially our WWE
Superstars, we’d like to say ‘Thank you’ and welcome to
WrestleMania!”
A video plays with all the different versions of “America the
Beautiful” sung by different personalities through the many years of
WrestleMania.
A really humorous video kicks off the show with someone doing a
Johnny Depp impersonation as Captain Jack Sparrow from “Pirates of
the Caribbean” narrating the WrestleMania matches like it’s a movie
trailer.
Michael Cole and John “Bradshaw” Layfield welcome us to the show.
Rob Gronkowski, who wants to just be known as “Gronk,” is ready to
host this WrestleMania, which is too big for just one night. If
anyone knows how to start a party on Saturday and end it 30 hours
later, it’s him. Mojo Rawley comes up and says it’s time to get
hyped. Gronk chops away at Rawley’s chest.
