We go to a sold out Dunkin Donuts Center with the pyro going off.
The Crowd is loud and wild. We go to a video package with Cody
Rhodes and Seth Rollins on the short history between the two.
Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins
The bell rings and both men attempt to lock up. Cody and Seth lock
it up in the corner. The ref calls for a clean break, but Rollins
kicks Cody in the mid-section. Cody rolls up Rollins and goes for a
pin, but only gets a two. Rollins slaps Cody in the back of the
head, then Rollins goes to the outside, as Cody chases him, but
Rollins goes back in the ring and takes advantage of Cody. Cody is
on the outside on the apron. Rollins runs and kicks Cody off the
apron. Both men are now on the outside. Cody comes to charge at
Rollins from behind, but Rollins turns around and hits him with a
clothesline onto to the floor. Both men are now back in the ring,
with Rollins still in control. Cody attempts to come back and has
Rollins up and holds him for a few seconds and drops Rollins face
down. Cody hits Rollins with a disaster kick and then goes for the
pin, but only gets a two count. Cody comes back again with a second
attempt with a disaster kick, but Rollins moves out of the way and
goes crashing to the floor. On the outside, Rollins tosses Cody into
the barricade. Rollins throws Cody back in the ring. Rollins is
still in control with the offense, but Cody comes back as both mend
exchange blows. Rollins comes back and has uses the ropes to choke
Cody. Rollins hits Cody in the face with a knee and has him in a
chin lock as Cody begins to fade as Rollins has a full sleeper
locked in. Cody breaks the hold with an elbow to Rollins. Rollins
has Cody in the corner with an attempted comeback. Cody rolls up
Rollins, but only gets a two count. Rollins then attempts a pin
using the ropes, but only gets a two count. Both men are on the top
rope. Cody drops Seth with a superplex off the top rope. Both men
are exchange chops and slaps. Cody comes back with a powerslam on
Rollins and then clotheslines Rollins over the top rope. Cody climbs
the turnbuckle and attempts to land on Rollins on the outside, but
misses. Both men are back in the ring, and Cody hits a Cody Cutter
on Rollins from the middle rope. Cody goes for the pin, but Rollins
kicks out at two. Rollins comes back and hits a superkick to the
chin on Cody, goes for the pin, but only gets a two count. Rollins
goes for the stomp, but Cody moves out of the way. Cody is on the
top rope, comes down and gets hit in the gut by Rollins. Rollins
picks up Cody and slams him down with the Falcon Arrow. Rollins goes
for the three count, but only gets the two. The crowd is really
behind Cody and chants this is awesome. Cody comes back with some
offense, but is caught in the air as Rollins hits Cody with a buckle
bomb. Rollins then goes to the top rope with a huge frog splash on
Cody. Rollins goes for the pin, but Cody kicks out at two. Rollins
is back on the top rope and comes down but Cody moves and Rollins
land on his feet and gets a kick by Cody. Cody hits Rollins with a
superplex and then the crossroads. Cody goes for the pin, but
Rollins is close enough to the bottom rope to get his foot on it.
Both men are now on the outside. Cody tosses Rollins back in the
ring. Cody goes for a moonsault attempt, but Rollins catches Cody
with a pedigree and lands it. Rollins covers Cody, but only gets a
two count. Rollins has Cody down and kicks him in the head. Rollins
has Cody by the ear and punches Cody, who then attempts a
crossroads, but it is blocked by Rollins. Rollins rolls Cody and
grabs the tights, but only gets a two count. Cody then rolls up
Rollins and pulls the tights to get the victory over Rollins.
WINNER BY PINFALL: CODY RHODES
Post-Match: Rollins argues with the ref on the call, telling the ref
his tights were pulled. Cody celebrates on the ramp as Rollins is in
the ring very upset.
The fans were really behind Cody. This match had some great near
falls. Not sure if this is the end of the feud or not.
Omos vs. Bobby Lashley
The bell rings and here we go. Lashley attempts hits on Omos, who
brushes them off. Lashley comes back with more hits on Omos. MVP
distracted Lashely and Omos took advantage of it, but taking Lashley
down. Omos is still in control and had a headlock on Lashley. The
crowd seems to be taunting MVP. Omos tosses Lashley to the outside.
Lashely gets back in the ring as Omos picks up Lashley and tosses
his face on the top turnbuckle, and hits Lashley with a big boot to
the face. Lashley is down as MVP trash talks Lashely. Lashley
attempts a come back as he hops on the back of Omos and puts him in
a sleeper. Omos is in the corner and Lashley attempts a come back.
Lashely locks Omos in the ropes and drills blows to head of Omos.
MVP tries to use his cane to untangle Omos. Lashely goes to the
outside and attempts a hurt lock on MVP. Lashley gets back in the
ring. and attempts the hurt lock on Omos and has it locked on Omos,
who begins to fade, but Omos gets back to his feet and has Lashley
in the corner. Omos has Lashley in the corner and hits Lashley with
big chops. Lashley is down in the corner. Omos charges at Lashley
who counters it with offense. Lashley lifts up Omos and plants him
down on the mat. Omos comes back and tosses Lashley shoulder first
into the ring post. L MVP pokes Lashley in the eye with cane as the
ref is distracted. Omos picks up Lashley, slams him down and get the
win.
WINNER BY PINFALL: OMOS
For most of the match, the crowd was quiet. There were some parts
where the crowd came alive, but for the most part, they were on
their hands. I would think this feud is probably over. This match
was mostly boring.
AJ Styles vs. WWE Hall of Famer Edge (Damian Priest is banned from
ringside).
The bell rings and both men lock it up. AJ pushes Edge to corner and
hits Edge with a series of headbutts. The action spills to the
outside. AJ slams Edge on the announce table. AJ tosses Edge back
into the ring and Edge rolls out. AJ comes back with a baseball
slide rocket dropkick on Edge. AJ come hits a moonsault onto Edge on
the floor. AJ goes for a phenomenal forearm, but Edge kicks AJ in
the face. The action is back on the outside. Edge catapults AJ into
the ring post. Edge tosses AJ back in the ring and continues the
offense on AJ. Edge is working on AJ’s bad shoulder and twists AJ
down using the bad shoulder. Edge has AJ in a shoulder lock. The
fans are really behind AJ. He attempts to come back, but Edge
counters and puts AJ in another shoulder lock. Edge has AJ down in
the corner and kicks him. AJ comes back with some offense on Edge
and hits him with a pele’ kick on Edge. AJ continue with the offense
on Edge. AJ continues to favor his left shoulder. AJ slams Edge
down, and goes for a pin, but only gets a two count. Edge is on the
top rope. AJ climbs the rope and then hits Edge with huracarrana and
goes for the pin, but only gets a two. Edge comes back and works on
AJ’s shoulder with a snap on it. Edge reverses it with a calf
crusher. Edge is trying to get to the bottom rope. AJ still has it
locked, but Edge is able to get to the bottom rope to break the
hold. Edge in the corner, grabs the turnbuckle pad off. Both Edge
and AJ trade some great near-falls. Edge recovers and attempts a
spear, but AJ counters with a step up knee. As Edge is on the ropes,
AJ hits Edge with a Styles clash. He covers Edge, but only gets the
two. AJ goes to the top rope. Damien Priest who is barred from
ringside comes out on the entrance ramp. Finn Balor comes out to
take out Priest. A mystery person in a hood takes out AJ and Edge
has Styles locked in chin lock. AJ tries to break the hold, but AJ
ends up passing out.
WINNER: EDGE
Post-Match: The mystery person all dressed in black comes into the
ring and takes off the black hood and it is Rhea Ripley to a mixed
reaction from the fans.
I did not expect Edge to go over since he won at WrestleMania. This
feud probably continues on…Ripley joining Edge is not a big surprise
since it was rumored she was going to be part of the faction. This
Judgement Day faction is a rip off of House of Black.
We go to to a video package featuring Bianca Belair.
I Quit Match for the SmackDown Women’s Title: Ronda Rousey vs.
Charlotte Flair (c)
The bell rings and Charlotte attempts to punch Ronda. Ronda comes
back with offense on Charlotte, who then comes back with offense and
hits Ronda with two big clotheslines. Ronda comes back and slams
Charlotte down. Charlotte comes back with a hit to the back and then
picks up Charlotte and slams her down. Both women are on the outside
and Charlotte slams Ronda against the barricade. Charlotte trash
talks Ronda and chops Ronda across the chest. Ronda comes back and
sends Charlotte into the ring post as Charlotte is favoring her left
arm. Charlotte comes back and kicks Ronda in the face. Charlotte
tells the ref to ask Ronda if she quits. Ronda says no. Charlotte
has a kendo stick. She attempts to hit Charlotte with it, but Ronda
gets it and Charlotte starts heading to the back. Charlotte comes
back with two kendo sticks and hits Ronda who drops hers. Charlotte
hits Ronda with the kendo sticks. Ronda gets the kendo sticks back
and starts unloading on Charlotte. Both women are back in the ring
and Ronda continues to hits Charlotte. Charlotte rolls to the
outside and grabs a camera from one of the camera men and tosses it
at Ronda. Both women now spill the fight into the crowd. Charlotte
tosses Ronda against the barricade. Charlotte tells the ref ask
Ronda if she quits. Ronda says no. Both women start to climb the
stairs. Charlotte has Ronda in a choke hold. Charlotte tells the ref
to ask Ronda if she quits. Ronda says no. Charlotte, still on the
offense is slapping Ronda. Charlotte grabs a chair and attempts to
hit Ronda, who blocks it. Ronda has the chair as both women are back
over barricade and at ringside. Charlotte slams Ronda down on the
announce tables. The crowd begins to chant we want tables. Charlotte
picks up Ronda and slams her down on the barricade. Charlotte tells
the ref to ask Ronda if she quits. Ronda says no. As Charlotte is
trash talking Ronda, comes back, but Charlotte counters and slams
Ronda into the ring post. As Ronda is down, Charlotte goes to the
top rope, but Ronda comes back and gets Ronda in an armbar lock as
Charlotte is locked up on the top rope upside down. Charlotte
screams in pain but still says no, she doesn’t quit. Both women fall
to the floor as Charlotte is holding her arm. Charlotte picks up a
chair and hits Ronda in the hip and back. The ref asks Ronda if she
quits and she says no. Both women are back in the ring. Charlotte
hits Ronda with the Natural Selection on a chair. Charlotte tells
the ref to ask Ronda if she quits. Ronda says no. The crowd
continues to chant we want tables. Charlotte has Ronda locked in
with the figure eight. Ronda grabs a chair to break the hold.
Charlotte is on her feet and sets up the chair. Charlotte says happy
mother’s day to Ronda, and then Ronda grabs the chair and wraps
Charlotte’s arm in the chair. and locks the armbar. Charlotte
finally says she quits, and Ronda says to Charlotte, “I was hoping
you would say that you B—-“
WINNER AND NEW SMACKDOWN WOMEN’S CHAMPION: RONDA ROUSEY
This match, so far is the match of the night. Both women worked
really hard and put on an outstanding match. Rousey and Flair’s in
ring work together was excellent. I really enjoyed this match.
Madcap Moss vs. Happy Baron Corbin
The bell rings and the both men lock up. Corbin kicks Moss in the
thigh and then bounces Moss’ face off the turnbuckle. Moss comes up
with a hip toss. Moss is on the outside of the apron. Moss is back
in the ring and Corbin slams Moss down. Corbin goes to the outside
as Moss is on the floor. Corbin hits Moss and then as Moss is on the
barricade, Corbin hits Moss with a series of blows to the side of
the head. Both men are back in the ring and Moss tries to fight
back, but Corbin counters and goes for the pin, but only gets a two
count. Corbin has Moss in the corner and then hits an Irish Whip on
Moss to the corner. As Moss is down, Corbin hits Moss with elbows
and then puts Moss in a chin lock. Moss attempts to come back and is
back to his feet. Corbin comes back with a big clothesline on Moss.
Corbin goes for the pin, but only gets a two count. Corbin hits a
sinton on Moss. Moss recovers and comes back and hits Corbin to the
outside of the ring. Moss tackles Corbin and sends him into the ring
post. Moss then hits Corbin with a shoulder who is in the corner.
Corbin comes at Moss who is caught and Moss hits Corbin with a fall
away slam. Corbin recovers and slams Moss down. Corbin goes for the
pin, but only gets a two count. Corbin hits Moss with a deep six.
Corbin goes for the cover, but only gets a two count. Corbin
attempted another deep six, but Moss moves out of the way. Corbin
charges at Moss, but Moss hits a sunset flip on Corbin to get the
three count.
WINNER BY PINFALL: MADCAP MOSS
Stupid booking. Why did WWE put this match after Ronda and
Charlotte, other than they thought some people would need a bathroom
break. Corbin’s current character is dumb and Madcap Moss does
nothing for me. Snooze. This match was not all that good. I didn’t
expect Moss to win. The crowd seemed into it. With Moss winning,
this feud is certain to continue.
We go to backstage with Kayla Braxton who announces after speaking
with medical staff, Charlotte has a broken radius. We then go to a
video package on the feud between The Bloodline, RK-Bro and Drew
McIntyre.
Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and SmackDown Tag
Team Champions The Usos vs. Drew McIntyre and Raw Tag Team Champions
RK-Bro
The bell rings and it appears it will be Jimmy Uso and Orton
starting the match as the crowd chants Randy. Both men lock up as
Jimmy gets Orton into the corner. Orton does a quick tag to Riddle.
Jimmy whips Riddle into the corner and hits Riddle with a few blows.
Riddle has Jimmy in his corner. He tags in McIntyre. McIntyre in the
corner and hits Jimmy with chops. McIntyre stays ahead of Jimmy.
McIntyre slams down Jimmy and points to Reigns. Jimmy tags in Reigns
as the crowd goes crazy. As Reigns walks around he tags in Jey Uso
and the crowd boos like crazy as Reigns trash talks the fans and
says he is the head of the table. McIntyre has Jey Uso down and tags
in Riddle. The Usos are able to double team Riddle. Jimmy is using
the ropes to choke Riddle. As the ref is distracted, Jey hits Riddle
with a cheap shot. The Usos continue to double team Riddle as the
ref is distracted. Jey has Riddle while Jimmy comes off the top rope
onto Riddle. Jey goes for the pin, but only gets a two count. Jey
tags in Reigns, who picks up Riddle and has him in the corner and
hits him with blows. Riddle attempts to come back, but Roman comes
back and hits Riddle with a high elbow. Reigns picks up Riddle and
slams him down. Reigns tags in Jimmy who knocks Riddle to the
corner. Jimmy picks up Riddle and tosses him into the ring post.
Jimmy then kicks Orton to the face and knocks him off the apron.
Jimmy charges at Riddle, who comes back with a kick on Jimmy. Reigns
is tagged in as Riddle is able to make it and tag in McIntyre as the
Usos are down. Both men are trash talking and exchange blows. Reigns
hits McIntyre with a blow to the mid-section. McIntyre comes back
and takes out Reigns and The Usos who are come back int the ring.
Reigns comes back and hits McIntyre with a superman punch that sends
McIntyre to the floor. Reigns goes to the floor and tosses McIntyre
back into the ring. Reigns has McIntyre in the corner who hits him
with blows. As McIntyre is down, Paul Heyman hands Reigns both
titles as Reigns holds them high and flexes with them. As Reigns is
distracted by Orton, McIntyre hits Reigns with a Claymore. Orton is
tagged in and takes out both Jimmy and Jey. Its just Jimmy in the
ring. Jey attempts to come at Orton who takes out Jey. Orton hits
Reigns and both Usos with an RKO. Orton goes for the pin on Jey, but
only gets the two count. McIntyre attempts a Claymore on Jey, but is
met with a superkick. The Usos then superkick McIntyre. Riddle is on
the apron wanting to tag in. Jey is tagged back in. Riddle is tagged
in. Riddle is on the offense with a running knee on Jey. Riddle goes
to the top rope and hits a flip on to Jey, and then goes for the
pin, but only gets the two count. Jey attempts a pin on Riddle but
only gets a two count. Jey then hits Riddle with a pop up neck
breaker. Outside the ring, Orton is taking out Jimmy. As Orton turns
around he is hit with a superman punch by Reigns. McIntyre comes and
attempts to slam Jey on the table, but the Usos double team and
Reigns slams McIntyre on the table. Back in the ring its Riddle and
Jey that exchange kicks. Jey is on the top rope looking for the Uso
splash, but Riddle leaps to the top and takes down Jey, but Reigns
comes in and spears Riddle and covers Riddle for the win.
WINNERS BY PINFALL: Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns
and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos
This match was crazy. The action was all over the place and the
crowd was into this match with this is awesome cheers. This feud
continues as eventually there will be a unification match for both
sets of tag titles and McIntyre and Reigns I am sure will have a
match for the title.
