Raw is War

Dallas, Texas
February 7, 2000

RAW IS WAR kicked off live from Dallas as X-Pac and Tori entered the arena to a deafening round of boos. Much to X-Pac's dismay, the four Radicals quickly followed. Perry Saturn, Eddy Guerrero, Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit quickly took the show over. The former WWF hopefuls thanked the fans for their support, even if they weren't able to gain contracts with the Federation. Also, before leaving the arena, the Radicals called out Cactus Jack so they could thank him for their opportunity in person.

Cactus obliged and came to the ring. Triple H, with his wife Stephanie, soon followed. The Federation Champion proposed that he and Cactus Jack fight just one more time, this time at No Way Out. Cactus agreed, and made the match a Hell in a Cell Match. Triple H agreed to fight Cactus in a cell only if Cactus agreed to retire if Triple H should win. After both parties agreed to the match at No Way Out, Triple H and the four Radicals, who were in cahoots with the Champ, destroyed Cactus, leaving him lifeless in the middle of the ring.

After the commercial break, the New Age Outlaws defended the Tag Team Championship against Edge and Christian. Before the match got under way, the Dudley Boyz made their way to the commentators' booth, alongside J.R. and the King. Edge and Christian gained the early advantage. However, that advantage was quickly lost when Billy Gunn mustered up enough energy to put Edge in the Jackhammer. The match ended when Road Dogg pinned Christian after Buh-Buh Ray interfered on the Outlaws behalf.

Kurt Angle then addressed the crowd before his match with Mark Henry. Kurt alerted the crowd that he and Mark are in fact nothing alike, despite both being Olympians. He then claimed that impregnating Mae Young was not acceptable by his standards. The match quickly got under way, as an angry Sexual Chocolate overpowered Angle in the early going. Just as Kurt began to gain the upper hand, Mae Young came to the ring to help Mark Henry. Angle surprised everyone by applying a reverse-fireman's carry on the pregnant senior citizen. The match ended when EMTs and Mark Henry ran to Mae's aid. After the break, it was learned that Mae Young was alright.

The Hollys then took on the Acolytes under hardcore rules. The match immediately spilled out into the crowd. The Acolytes took full advantage of the lack of rules, as they used every weapon they could find. The beating Faarooq and Bradshaw were putting on the Hollys appeared to be unstoppable - until Big Vis interfered on behalf of the Hollys, allowing the cousins to get the pin.

Next up, Y2J's entrance music rocked the Reunion Arena, as the Intercontinental Champion prepared to defend the title against Viscera. It appeared as though Big Vis was going to shock the world and capture the Intercontinental Championship early on in the match, but Y2J was able to quicken the pace and take the challenger off his game. When things started really getting ugly for Viscera, the Hollys returned the big man's earlier favor and attacked the Intercontinental Champion. Soon thereafter, the Acolytes hit the ring. A big schmaz soon ensued.

The newly crowned Women's Champion Jacqueline then defended the title against Luna. Jackie got the victory after a German suplex. After the match, Gangrel dropped the Champion with an Impaler.

After the commercial break, the Godfather, D'Lo Brown and six of Dallas' finest hos made their way to ringside. Before the Godfather could get his usual pre-match address out, the Dudley Boyz hit the ring and started the match early. When it was all said and done, the Dudley Boyz were declared the winners after hitting D'Lo with the 3D. After the match, Buh-Buh Ray attempted to throw B.B., who was at ringside aiding to an injured Godfather, through a table at ringside. Luckily for the EMT, the Hardys and Edge and Christian stopped the attack before it turned ugly.

In the final match of the evening, Triple H, X-Pac, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Chris Benoit battled Cactus Jack, The Rock, Rikishi Phatu and Too Cool. The capacity crowd was electric as the ten superstars went to war. The match offered a minute preview of what we may on Feb. 27 when Cactus Jack and Triple H face off at No Way Out. The two superstars couldn't keep away from each other. The match ended when Grand Master Sexay fell victim to not only a Pedigree at the hands of Triple H, but a flying headbut by Chris Benoit, as well. After the match all ten superstars battled in the ring. But the battle stopped when a returning Paul Bearer shocked the world and introduced the combatants to Kane. Kane quickly cleared the ring as RAW went off the air.
