Raw is War

Seattle, Washington
August 12, 2002

Fans were still streaming into Seattle's Key Arena as RAW kicked off live! Among the fans still making their way to their seats were Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar! The Next Big Thing wore a Hulkamania shirt as a mocking reference to his annihilation of Hulk Hogan last week on SmackDown! Brock and Heyman produced tickets and took their seats in the front row!

Triple H came to the ring and said that he was never Shawn Michaels' best friend. He made his case for why he would prevail during the showdown at SummerSlam, but he was interrupted by The Rock! The Rock set his sights on Brock Lesnar, but The Game interrupted him and goaded him into a fight. The two traded blows in the ring and Brock suddenly jumped the barrier and leapt onto the ring apron. The Rock got distracted, allowing Triple H to best The Rock and hit a pedigree! Security escorted Brock and Heyman out of the building as The Rock lay in the ring. Later The Rock complained to Bischoff and ordered him to give him a shot at The Game that night!

Molly Holly & Christopher Nowinski def. Trish Stratus & Spike Dudley

Nowinski got caught with the Stratusfaction from Trish which allowed Spike to tag in. Spike went for a pin on Nowinski, but Molly broke up the count. The Women's Champion was taken out by Trish, but Spike fell victim to a double underhook slam from Nowinski that got the Harvard graduate the 1-2-3!

Backstage, Goldust coerced Eric Bischoff into giving him and Booker T a shot at the Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam provided Booker defeated Lance Storm that night. Bischoff then looked down to find Minidust making sweet love to his leg!

The Fink introduced himself as the lead RAW announcer and said he was sorry that Lilian Garcia didn't get what was coming to her sooner. While the Fink was talking, the TitanTron erupted with images of Kane! Howard nearly had a heart attack, but the flames subsided without an appearance from Kane!

Backstage, Bischoff revealed to Rob Van Dam that the documents Stacy gave him last week on SmackDown! were actually a contract that guaranteed Rob Van Dam a shot at Chris Benoit and the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam! The Bisch said Stephanie was going to shred the contract, but he rescued it. Matt and Jeff Hardy listened to this and Matt questioned why he couldn't get a shot at RVD with the No. 1 Contendership on the line. Jeff made his case as well, prompting Bischoff to issue a coin toss. The Bisch barely glanced at the coin after flipping it but awarded the match with RVD to Jeff as Matt looked on incredulously.

Booker T def. Lance Storm
Christian smacked Booker T from the outside, allowing Lance Storm to execute a quick rollup. Booker T kicked out and Goldust got a shot in on Storm. Booker nailed a scissors kick and got the pin! Afterwards, Christian and Storm ganged up on Booker T and Christian until the Undertaker dashed in and chased off the UnAmericans!

Bischoff later appeared in the ring with Minidust and said that he had a special annoucement. The main even t for RAW would be the UnAmericans and Triple H against Booker T, Goldust, the Undertaker and The Rock! Bischoff then asked Minidust to entertain him, but then said that his three minutes were up. Rosie and Jamal slid into the ring and demolished the little man while Bischoff cracked up laughing!

Bischoff then introduced the newest acquisition to RAW: Stacy Keibler! Stacy danced over to the announce table and had The King drooling into his microphone!

Big Show & Chris Jericho def. Ric Flair & Bubba Ray Dudley
In a match filled with several near falls, Jericho forced Bubba Ray to tap out after hitting a low blow and putting him in the Walls of Jericho. Afterward, Ric Flair snuck up behind Jericho and pulled down his tights! Flair went to put on the Figure Four, but Big Show chased him away!

Backstage, Jericho told Coach that he would show how multitalented he is next week when his band Fozzy plays live on RAW! Y2J then challenged Flair to a match at SummerSlam so he could show that he is the king of the world!

Tommy Dreamer def. Steven Richards
After a knockdown, drag out fight that featured brutal attacks with foreign objects, Tommy Dreamer scored with a chair shot that put Steven Richards' shoulders to the mat.

Rob Van Dam def. Jeff Hardy
With the ref knocked down, RVD rolled out of the way of a Swanton Bomb. As Jeff tried to collect himself, Matt Hardy slipped into the ring and gave his brother the Twist of Fate! RVD nailed the Five-Star Frog Splash and got the win to retain his shot at Chris Benoit and the Intercontinental Championship!

Backstage, Test told Terri that he would be the one to demolish the American Badass. Storm said that the three would also get to attack The Rock. Just like America, Storm said, The Rock's foundation is crumbling.

Eric Bischoff stormed into the production truck and demanded to know why a SmackDown! promo, which announced this week's main event as Brock Lesnar vs. Rikishi, ran during RAW. The producer said it was out of his hands as the piece ran during commerical. The Bisch said that he too can make a main event. He said next week on RAW, Triple H would go one-on-one with The Rock!

The UnAmericans & Triple H def. Booker T, Goldust, The Rock & The Undertaker
An amazing, fast paced main event match culminated with Test preventing the Last Ride to Christian with a Big Boot onto the Undertaker! Test got the pinfall and the UnAmericans left triumphantly together as RAW left the air!
