CM Punk welcomes the crowd to the last RAW of 2013. Punk is excited for the upcoming year. He recaps his past year sharing how he had ups and downs. At the start of 2013 Punk was still the longest reigning Champion of the past 25 years. Punk went one on one with The Undertaker and nearly defeated the Wrestlemania Streak. Punk ditched his manager, Paul Heyman, and beat him near death with a kendo stick. Punk doesn’t know if 2013 was really the ‘Year of Punk’. CM Punk believes that the three men that really deserve 2013 being known as their year is The Shield. Punk believes that their paths will probably cross tonight ---

The Shield’s music hits. They make their way down and enter the ring. Dean Ambrose tells Punk to finish his thought. Punk better give them a good reason not to end 2013 by beating him down right now. Punk tells The Shield to calm down. Punk wants to be the best, so he wants to fight the best. Punk says that The Shield should decide who their strongest member is so that he can face him. Ambrose says he will fight Punk right here right now. Punk says he has already beaten Ambrose half a dozen times. Ambrose is clearly the weak link. Punk was addressing Roman Reigns. Seth says that if Punk wants to fight the best, then he will fight him. Reigns and Rollins begin to argue. Ambrose is pacing around the ring furious.

Brad Maddox appears. He says that as the General Manager of RAW, and on behalf of the Authority, Punk will face Seth Rollins tonight.

CM Punk v. Seth Rollins w/ The Shield

They both use their speed to counter and reverse at the start. Punk looks for the early GTS but Rollins scurries off and rolls out of the ring to catch his breath.

Back from a break Punk reverses an Irish Whip. Punk hits a Double Underhook Backbreaker. Punk follows by using the ropes for a five count to apply pressure and contort the body of Rollins. After the referee breaks the count Seth tries to take over. Punk has trouble sneaking in a roll up so Rollins kicks out. Punk stays in control and heads up top to drop a hard elbow. Rollins sees him and pushes Punk off and to the outside as the show heads to commercial.

Back from the break Punk charges at Seth in the corner but gets sidestepped and crashes shoulder first against the steel post. Rollins counters a neckbreaker. Punk counters the counter into a roll up. Rollins kicks out. Punk attempts a running knee but Rollins catches him in a Powerbomb position. Rollins runs across the ring with Punk and tosses him into the corner. Cover but Punk kicks out. Rollins ducks a high kick and hits one of his own. Punk kicks out of the cover. Rollins signals for the GTS. Punk scurries off his shoulders. Both men stay swift as Punk trips up Rollins. Punk heads to the top rope but Rollins rolls away. Seth tosses Punk into the turnbuckle.

Rollins climbs up in the corner but Punk stops him and sets up a Superplex. Rollins escapes and hits a crossbody. Punk rolls through for a cover but Rollins kicks out. The Shield jumps up on the apron as Punk hits an Anaconda Vice for the distraction. Punk responds but tossing Rollins over the top rope and onto the other members of The Shield. Punk tries to fly out with a suicide dive but Rollins stops him with a punch. Both men get back in the ring. Punk quickly lifts up Rollins and hits the GTS for the win.

Winner: CM Punk

Brad Maddox is in his office speaking to a referee. He tells the referee that he wants to have an Intercontinental Match that everyone can be proud of tonight. Triple H and Stephanie approach. Maddox notes that Kane is not present tonight but he is willing to take his place for the evening. An angry Daniel Bryan approaches. He demands that he gets a match against Bray Wyatt before 2013 ends. Maddox tells him that tonight he will face Luke Harper. If Bryan can defeat Harper then he can face Rowan. If he manages to beat Rowan then he can finally fight Bray.

Stephanie McMahon comes out on the apron and wishes the WWE Universe a Happy New Year. The end of a year is a time for reflection. She thought about what she would have changed in the past year – nothing. After all The Authority united both Championships under one banner.

Stephanie announces that at The Royal Rumble PPV Randy Orton will face John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Dolph Ziggler v. Curtis Axel

Axel delivers a hard whip that launches Dolph Ziggler up high and to the outside. Axel follows him out of the ring shoves Ziggler back first into the apron. Back inside the ring Axel wrenches down hard in a rear headlock position. Ziggler tosses Axel towards the corner. Curtis’ legs give out and he hits the second turnbuckle face first. Ziggler mounts him in the corner for a ten count punch. Dolph follows with a neckbreaker. Axel reverses an Irish Whip but gets caught with a crossbody. Axel hits a neckbreaker of his own and goes for the cover. Ziggler kicks out. Dolph catches Axel off guard with a Zig Zag for the win. On a side note, Ziggler has given himself a pink lowlight dye job to a portion of his hair.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Big E. Langston (c) v. Fandango w/ Summer Rae

Fandango and Langston stay locked up at the start. The speed of Fandango is able to overcome the strength of Langston at the start. Langston leapfrogs off an Irish Whip and then hits a hard shoulder thrust in the corner. Langston lifts him up on his shoulder but Fandango scurries free and heads out of the ring. Langston follows after and shoves Fandango into the barricade. Fandango manages to trip Langston up before getting into the ring. With both men inside Fandango looks to target the legs of Langston. Fandango wrenches on a leg lock. Langston attempts to power his way free but has to resort to punches for the escape. Langston limps as he gets to his feet. Fandango tosses him to the outside. Langston’s package nearly breaks free during the descent. Good lord. Commercial.

Langston is backed into the corner and chopped. Fandango goes back to work on his opponents’ legs with another leg lock. Again Langston fights free with punches. Fandango immediately looks to a chin lock. Langston gets to his feet with Fandango on his back and falls back into the corner. Langston delivers a shoulder block but Fandango blocks the belly to belly suplex. Langston gets
Fandango on the apron and brings him back in with a belly to belly suplex. Fandango responds with a DDT in the corner and a pin attempt. Langston kicks out. Fandango hits a Leg Drop from the top rope but Langston rolls out of the ring to escape the cover. Fandango follows after with a boot and then rolls Langston back into the ring. Fandango follows after but walks right into a belly to back suplex. Langston runs the ropes and delivers a splash. Langston follows with the Big Ending and retains his Championship.

Next Week on Old School RAW CM Punk will face Roman Reigns.

Booker T comes out on the entrance ramp with several Superstars and Divas. They are ready to bring in the New Years. Booker announces a special New Years Spinaroonie.

Wade’s podium rises from the ground and high into the air near the entrance ramp. He asks for some decorum. “Booker we aren’t going to end the year with a Spinaroonie because New Years is supposed to be about realizing dreams and new opportunities. 2014 isn’t going to bring an end to government corruption or natural disaster. The only thing it will bring us is one step closer to the apocalypse”. The wrestlers on the stage are going to continue to suck and the crowd will continue with their doldrums.

Renee is in the back with Damien Sandow. He tells her that he does not care who he faces tonight. If he can’t defeat whoever the WWE Universe picks for him to face tonight then he will quit the company.

Jerry Lawler announces that by the vote of the fans Damien Sandow will face – The Great Khali.

Damien Sandow v. The Great Khali

Khali grabs Sandow at start and pushes him from corner to corner delivering big chops. Khali looks for the finish but Sandow slides out of the ring. Sandow gets back in and dropkicks the leg of Khali. Sandow goes to work on the giant limb. Sandow places the foot against the rope and uses it as leverage. Cover, but Khali pushes Sandow off. Sandow immediately goes back to the leg. Khali fights free but Sandow doesn’t let him get back to his feet. Instead Sandow goes right back to the leg hold. Sandow and Khali brawl on the mat. Sandow gets to his feet and drops an elbow. Khali crawls to the corner and lifts himself up. Sandow charges straight into a boot. Khali tries to get the crowd behind him as Sandow takes refuge in the corner. Khali follows after but gets his head bashed against the top turnbuckle which allows him to sneak in a roll up.

Winner: Damien Sandow

After the match Khali is angry because he believes that his shoulder was off the mat. The replay confirms this suspicion.

Brodus Clay v. R-Truth

Xavier Woods is on commentary for this match.

Clay pushes Truth into the corner but Truth uses his quickness to evade attack. Truth tosses in a split for good measure but gets caught with a shoulder block. Clay punches Truth in the chest. Clay steps on the back of Truth with all of his weight. Clay connects with a Sheeplex. Truth is lifted high overhead and dropped down to the mat. Truth is sent into the corner with a hard Irish Whip. Clay lifts Truth up overhead and just holds him up to drain out his life. Clay drops him to the mat and follows with an elbow drop. Cover, but Truth kicks out. Truth is lifeless as he is in the corner.

Xavier Woods jumps up on the commentator booth and the Funkadactyls’ music hits. The Funkadactyls appear on the entrance ramp and start to twerk it out. The distraction allows Truth to get in a roll up for the win.

Winner: R-Truth

After the match the Funkadactyls dance with Truth and Xavier Woods. Clay can only look on from the entrance ramp furiously.

Triple H comes down to the ring and wants to welcome someone back to the WWE – Brock Lesnar’s music hits! The crowd erupts as no one was expecting this return tonight. Lesnar is flanked by Paul Heyman. There is not a sign in the crowd bearing Lesnar’s name as the crowd was not anticipating his emergence tonight.

Triple H extends his hand and Lesnar accepts. Triple H heads out of the ring and leaves Paul Heyman to work his microphone magic. Heyman announces that he is out here to share Lesnar’s plan. Lesnar is not back to settle old scores because he does not have any. Lesnar faces people and then beats them. It’s that simple. Heyman also says that Lesnar is not here to get revenge on Punk. So why is Brock Lesnar back? Heyman shares the real reason. Brock Lesnar wants to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. So whoever emerges at the Royal Rumble with the Championship it won’t really matter. Because they are going to eventually lose at the hands of Lesnar. Brock takes the mic. He says that he doesn’t care if it is Cena or Orton. There is nobody in the business that can beat him. Lesnar doesn’t have to be in the Royal Rumble or wait in a line for a Title shot. As far as Lesnar is concerned the line starts behind him. Brock dares anybody to come down to the ring and test him. Heyman says that they might as well say goodnight now because the beast incarnate is back.

Mark Henry’s music hits. He takes off his shirt and then makes his way down to the ring. Lesnar attacks him as he tries to get into the ring. Lesnar follows him out of the ring. Henry grabs Lesnar and tosses him over the barricade. Lesnar responds by grabbing Henry and bashing him straight through the barricade! Lesnar ROARS after the attack. Lesnar picks up Henry and lifts him up on shoulders like it is nothing. Lesnar delivers an incredible F5 onto the floor. Heyman tells Lesnar to stop. Henry has gotten the message.

The Bella Twins, Eva Marie & The Funkadactyls v. Aksana, Alicia Fox, Kaitlyn, Summer Rae & Rosa Mendes

Kaitlyn starts the match against Eva Marie. Eva tries to tag but the rest of her team isn’t thrilled. Eva has to forcibly tag in Cameron. Alicia tags herself in. Cameron tries a tilt-a-whirl but Alicia doesn’t hold her up and she crashes down face first. Alicia is confused but then goes for the cover. Cameron kicks out. Cameron is tossed towards the corner. Rosa comes in for a quick attack and then Aksana gets the tag. She tries for a cover but Cameron kicks out. Aksana kicks her hard in the side and then goes for another cover. Cameron kicks out and tags in Nikki Bella.

Nikki delivers a clothesline in the corner. She lifts Aksana up for a torture rack but all the Divas spill into the ring. Everyone brawls to the outside other than Aksana and Nikki. Aksana uses her elbow to plant Nikki down to the mat hard.

Winners: Aksana, Alicia Fox, Kaitlyn, Summer Rae & Rosa Mendes

Brad Maddox enters the McMahons’ office. He believes that he has done a better job tonight than Kane would have. Also, Maddox has ensured that both of their favorites will be at next weeks’ Old School RAW.

Daniel Bryan v. Luke Harper w/ The Wyatt Family

Harper whips Bryan hard into the corner but Bryan bounces right back with a series of kicks. Bryan goes to work on the legs of Harper. Bryan runs across the ring for a dropkick to the leg. He glances at the Wyatts which allows Harper a small opening. Bryan gets Harper wrenched and looks for a surfboard at the start but instead goes for a Dragon Sleeper. Bryan releases and pushes Harper into the corner to deliver some uppercuts. Harper fights back and delivers a few stomps. Bryan gets caught with a hard chop followed by punches. Harper gets Bryan on the ground and stomps repeatedly. Harper then continues the onslaught with Bryan in the corner. Bryan hits a drop toe hold and then runs across the ring for a missile dropkick. Harper catches him on the second attempt for a slam. Cover, but Bryan kicks out. The show heads to commercial.

Back from the break and Bryan flips out of the corner to hit an arm lariat. Bryan pulls down on the top rope to send Harper out of the ring. Bryan hits a suicide dive that pushes Harper into the barricade but he stays on his feet. Bryan runs back into the ring and hits another suicide dive. This time Harper falls to the floor. Bryan sends him back into the ring and then climbs to the top rope. Bryan hits a missile dropkick. Bryan kicks up and then starts a series of kicks. Cover, but Harper kicks out. Bryan charges towards the corner but gets caught with a viscous Powerbomb. Cover, but somehow Bryan kicks out. Harper hits a few chops as Bryan tries to get to his feet. Harper lifts his up but Bryan blocks a blow and hits a few punches. Harper tosses Bryan overhead and goes for a pin. Bryan kicks out. Harper looks for another cover but Bryan slips around for a Yes Lock. Harper uses pure power to escape and then catches Bryan with a boot straight to the face. It may have been a bite that allowed Harper to escape. Harper tosses Bryan overhead but Bryan lands on his feet and charges for a running knee!

Winner: Daniel Bryan

As soon as the match is over Erick Rowan charges into the ring for a cheap shot. The referee makes him back up so the match can start.

Daniel Bryan v. Erick Rowan

As soon as the match starts they brawl to the outside of the ring. Rowan lifts Bryan up and tosses him over the announce table as the show heads to commercial.

Back from the break the action is inside the ring. Bryan delivers a series of headbutts. Rowan tosses Bryan high up into the air and then slams him down to the mat. Rowan lifts Bryan up and lays him over the top rope. Rowan follows after and delivers a humongous Fallaway Slam. Rowan stands over top of Bryan and stalks his opponent. Daniel sneaks in a roll up and picks up the win.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

After the match Rowan tries to keep attacking Bryan. Harper charges into the ring and forces Rowan out so that Bray can have his match.

Daniel Bryan v. Bray Wyatt

Wyatt goes crab at the start and goads Bryan into getting to his feet. Wyatt charges at Bryan but doesn’t hit a splash and instead delivers a taunt. Wyatt turns his back to Bryan and raises his arms in a crucifix position. Bryan looks to attack but instead Rowan and Harper charge into the ring.

Winner via DQ: Daniel Bryan

Harper and Rowan toss Bryan out of the ring and then proceed to slam him into the barricade. They roll Bryan back into the ring. Rowan is whipped into Bryan and then Harper delivers a clothesline that turns Bryan inside out. Wyatt grabs a microphone. Harper and Rowan lift Bryan up for a double team Powerbomb.

Bray tells Bryan that this is his fault. He didn’t want to hurt him but didn’t have a choice. He commands Bryan to open his eyes. Bray says that this is the end. Bryan admits that Bray is right. Wyatt makes him repeat it. Bray then hands Bryan a microphone so he can say it again. Bryan says that Wyatt was always right. Regardless of how many matches Bryan won or how loud the people cheered for him, Wyatt was always right. The machine was never going to let him win. The people have chanted “Yes” in every building but the machine doesn’t care. “I’m yours,” says Daniel Bryan to Bray Wyatt, “let me join the family”. Bray extends his hand but removes it as Bryan reaches out. Bray raises his arms into the crucifix position. Bryan struggles to his knees and moves his arms into a similar position. Bray grabs Bryan, gives him a kiss, and then delivers Sister Abigail. The Wyatt Family takes Bryan towards the back. Bryan pauses on the entrance ramp and looks back at the crowd. The fans are chanting “No”. Bryan looks towards them, lowers his gaze, and joins the Wyatt Family as the last RAW of 2013 comes to an end.
