"Then. Now. Forever." The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video recaps the events from last week's RAW. It starts off from online reactions to the shocking ending before taking us through the match and its eliminations. Triple H made his shocking return by giving Roman Reigns a Pedigree on the floor and allowing Seth Rollins to eliminate him. Triple H then turned on Rollins and gave him a Pedigree before letting Kevin Owens become the new WWE Universal Champion.

Stephanie McMahon is shown backstage earlier in the day talking about planning a huge party for Kevin Owens' title win. Mick Foley walks up and does not look happy whatsoever. Foley says her husband made him look like a fool last Monday night, and she won't talk about it. She wouldn't return any of his messages, and he wants to know why. Stephanie says she's not going to defend herself over something she knew nothing about. She was backing Rollins and didn't know her husband was going to do that. Foley doesn't believe her. She asks who he thinks he's talking to. Foley says he's talking to the girl he met in 1998 moments after his Hell in a Cell match that gave him a shy smile. Stephanie says she didn't return his messages because she was embarrassed as a leader and a wife. How can she maintain her dignity? She had nothing to do with this and didn't respond because she didn't know how. She begs him to believe that she's still that same girl with the shy smile. Foley looks in her eyes and concedes that he does believe her. Foley says he has to because if he doesn't, that makes her a really good liar and a really bad person. Foley can't believe that.

The RAW video plays, and we go into the arena to see balloons falling from the rafters. Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon are in the ring. Stephanie asks the crowd to welcome the new WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens.

WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens, makes his way to the ring to a big reaction. Owens has his hair neatly cropped and is wearing a suit while holding the belt. Owens gets in the ring and blows off a Mick Foley handshake before posing on the turnbuckle with the belt. Pyro goes off on the stage as he holds up the belt. Owens stands in the ring and listens to the mixed reaction from the crowd. Owens says this is amazing and is exactly what he wanted. Stephanie says she's happy they could make it happen because he absolutely deserves it. Owens says he does deserve it. More than anything, he deserves the championship. Last week, when he won the title, the entire arena was chanting, "You deserve it," and they're 100% right. What he doesn't deserve is a crowd full of idiots trying to hijack his moment. Last week was his moment just like tonight is his moment. By chanting, "You deserve it," they're trying to make it about themselves. They think they're such a great crowd. Owens says they're not great or special. He is great and special. He knows this about himself and knew he deserved it from the moment he stepped in the ring. Last week, he beat three superstars to win this title, but he is man enough to admit that Triple H showed up to give him a nudge. However, he had done 98% of the work himself. All Triple H did was make things right and put him exactly where he belongs: at the very top of this industry. That's why tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW will be known as "The Kevin Owens Show."

Seth Rollins' music hits, and he storms down to the ring to a nice reception from the crowd. Rollins gets right in Owens' face. Rollins says this isn't about him and tells him to shut up. Rollins asks how Stephanie could do this to him after everything they've been through. Rollins gave her everything he had night in and night out. He put the company on his back and blew every ligament in his knee for it. He came back faster than anyone could have imagined and this is how he was repaid. Owens says this is about him. This is "The Kevin Owens Show." Rollins says he has no problem with Owens because he's just a puppet, but if he doesn't shut the hell up, Triple H won't even be able to save him. Stephanie says she had nothing to do with it, and Rollins shouts, "Bull crap!" Foley gets in Rollins' face and says she had nothing to do with it. Rollins asks what Foley had to do with it and asks if he's in her pocket. Foley says he's not in her pocket, but he has her back. Rollins says Owens has been Triple H's chosen one from day one. Triple H held his hand from the moment he stepped into NXT. If they want to hitch their wagon to Owens and make him the face of the New Era, Rollins will be the one to burn it to the ground. Rollins says her and her husband, the king and queen, will be on their knees in a pile of rubble.

Owens says that's a great story, but where was this passion these past few months? Ever since he came back from the injury, it seems The Architect has been designing blueprints for total failure. Rollins punches Owens down and knocks him out of the ring. Stephanie screams at him to stop, and he punches Owens off the apron. Stephanie says Rollins is indefinitely suspended. Rollins screams that she can't do that, but she says she just did. Foley says, "No, he's not!" A "Foley" chant fires up. Foley says she's acting as if this is personal, but he knows it's not. This is Monday Night RAW. They don't hand out suspensions when someone has been wrong and let their temper flare. They hand out rematches. When she made him the General Manager of RAW, it was agreed that he would make the matches. Foley asks her to respect that. Foley says he has no love loss for Rollins, but he won't deny the talent that he is. They were amazed at the match last week. He's not putting that type of talent on the shelf. Rollins will get his rematch and face Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at Clash of the Champions! The crowd boos the fact that it's not happening tonight. Foley's music plays, and Rollins walks off looking pleased.

Coming up next, Bayley will face Charlotte in a non-title match.

-Commercial Break-

Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley are arguing backstage. She says if he ever usurps her authority, he won't have a position to come back to. Foley says he did it in the best interest of the company because people would talk. Stephanie says she doesn't care. Foley says he does. Kevin Owens comes up and yells at Foley for rewarding Seth Rollins' bad behavior with a title match. Foley says he's going to reward Owens with a match against his former best friend Sami Zayn. Owens is furious. Chris Jericho angrily walks up to them now. Jericho asks Foley who he thinks he is by disrespecting his best friend and the longest reigning WWE Universal Champion. Jericho asks if Rollins is a Holy Foley mark and calls him a "stupid idiot." Foley says this stupid idiot is putting Jericho in a match against Seth Rollins. Foley says, "Have a nice day," and walks off. Jericho tries to plead with Stephanie, but she says, "Have a nice day," and also walks off.

Sasha Banks' music hits, and she makes her way to the ring. Replays are shown of her landing on her head at SummerSlam. Banks gets in the ring, and the crowd gives her a nice ovation. A "Sasha" chant fires up. Sasha says there is a saying: Every journey has an end and every story has a final chapter. For years and years, the WWE Universe was searching for a revolution. Before there was a Facebook and a Twitter, before there was a thing for a no talent chick to post on Instagram, there was a revolution with women. Women like Mae Young and Fabulous Moolah, Alundra Blayze and Luna Vachon, Trish and Lita that broke the mold and laid the foundation. These women wrote the first pages of a revolution of change, which became reality. July 13, 2015 was the day Stephanie McMahon introduced the next wave of women into the WWE. No more bra and panties matches or stupid butterfly title. They did it.

Sasha is near tears. Sasha says they became what they deserved all along, which was to be called "Superstars." This revolution is more than the WWE. This revolution is every mother, sister, and daughter. Her revolution is every time she steps into the ring. Every time she steps in the ring, she does it for every little girl that has a dream of being something bigger. She does it for every person that dreams of being more. She used to wake up at 6 AM with her mom to collect cans to make money to come to a WWE show. That's why she fights so hard because every time she's in this ring, it means everything to her. Sasha is really holding back the tears.

Sasha takes a moment before continuing. At SummerSlam, she was pushed beyond her limit. Charlotte tried to break her back and beat her straight up. Sasha says, "But I'm out here because earlier today, I met with the doctors and I have an update on my condition and I have some bad news…"

Dana Brooke's music hits. Dana says the only champion the WWE Universe deserves is Charlotte. She made a promise she's going to keep. Dana has some bad news for Sasha. She's going to use Sasha and her broken body to finish what Charlotte started at SummerSlam. Sasha's journey ends on her terms. Dana gets in the ring. Sasha drops her with the Bank Statement and makes her tap out. Sasha says, "Actually, Miss Piggy, the bad news wasn't for you. It was for Charlotte.
