“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
The Raw video plays, and we go into the arena to see a big
pyrotechnics display. Beth Phoenix will give a medical update on her
husband, Edge, later tonight. Seth Rollins and Murphy will defend
the Raw Tag Team Championship against the Street Profits in a “Now

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring alongside Paul

the line in four weeks at WrestleMania.
Heyman says, “Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, and I am
the advocate for the reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Heavyweight
Champion of the World, Brock Lesnar!” Lesnar looks absolutely pumped
up. Heyman says he can’t do it. It’s their job to come out and hype
the people on WrestleMania. Although he’ll give credit where credit
is due, almost top to bottom, this is the most stacked WrestleMania
lineup in decades. The main event of WrestleMania is a sham. The
crowd boos. Heyman says they can sit there like Pavlovian Dogs all
they want. They know it, Lesnar knows it, and Heyman knows it.
They want to sell you on Drew McIntyre — McIntyre’s name gets a big
reaction. Heyman says McIntyre is a hyped up fraud. The crowd loudly
boos. Lesnar didn’t just survive 15 top stars in WWE. Lesnar
massacred 15 top stars in WWE only to get hit from behind in the
testicles by Ricochet, leaving Lesnar vulnerable to Drew McIntyre to
kick him in the face and knock him out of the Royal Rumble match.
What makes you think that proves McIntyre can pin Brock Lesnar at
WrestleMania? He can’t! All it does is show McIntyre can take
advantage of a momentary situation. The next time Lesnar lays eyes
and hands on McIntyre, it’s over. Do you want to know why? Drew
McIntyre is nothing more than a stupid big bitch that’s going to get
squashed…
Drew McIntyre’s music hits to a big ovation. McIntyre gets in
Lesnar’s face. Lesnar backs up and says to wait until WrestleMania.
Lesnar tries to blindside him, but McIntyre lays him out with a
Claymore Kick! McIntyre kips up, and the crowd roars! Heyman is
stunned. McIntyre walks off.
Lesnar soon comes to and is stumbling. The crowd chants, “You
deserve it.” Lesnar looks infuriated as he grabs the WWE
Championship. Lesnar stands at ringside, and the crowd sings, “Kiss
Him Goodbye!” Lesnar is absolutely incensed as he goes up the ramp.
McIntyre then blindsides him with a Claymore Kick on the stage to a
huge ovation! McIntyre grabs the WWE Championship and holds it up.
The crowd chants, “One more time!” McIntyre obliges and crushes
Lesnar with a third Claymore Kick! The crowd is going wild and
chants for McIntyre. McIntyre points at the WrestleMania sign.

count. Ford gets up and hits Rollins with a step-up enzuigiri. Ford
goes to the top rope, but Rollins shoves him off to the floor! AOP
comes down to ringside next to Ford, so the referee ejects them from
ringside!

the referee tries to stop them. Kevin Owens all of a sudden runs in
while the referee is distracted and gives Rollins a Stunner! AOP

Beth Phoenix gives a medical update on Edge
Beth Phoenix makes her way to the ring. Phoenix appreciates this
time on Monday Night Raw. She’s here to give a medical update on her
husband, Edge.
Randy Orton’s music immediately hits, and he comes out to the ring.
Orton goes for a hug, but Phoenix denies him. Orton extends his
hand, but Phoenix says, “You think I would give you a hug or shake
your hand after what you did to my husband, you son of a bitch?”
Orton backs up and then sits on the top turnbuckle. Phoenix says
she’s not surprised. She thought she might see him here tonight. If
anyone here needs to hear this, it’s Orton. She is here as the wife
because she needs her husband. She is here as a mother because her
children deserve their father.
Orton gets down from the top rope and approaches her before circling
around her. Orton says it is a certainty that after what he did to
Edge that Edge will never wrestle again. Orton says he owes Phoenix
an explanation and will give her one… but he doens’t know how to say
it. Orton wants to start with a story. Back in 1999, WWE had a live
event in St. Louis, which is where he lived. His father, “Cowboy”
Bob Orton, took him downtown to introduce him to some WWE agents
Jack Lanza and Tony Garea. Orton wanted to break his son into the
business. At this point, he was a fan. Orton was backstage and to
see the likes of Austin, Triple H, Foley, The Rock, Davey Boy Smith…
the one that came up to pay respect to his father was Edge. It made
Orton so proud to see someone respect his father. Then his father
introduced him to Edge and explained his son was trying to break
into the business. Edge shook his hand and wished him luck before
saying they could maybe work in the ring one day. Orton never forgot
that. It motivated him and gave him confidence. A few years later,
they were battling all over the world for the Intercontinental
Championship and stealing the show. Then they formed Rated RKO and
became Tag Team Champions. Just as they were flying as high as they
could, Orton flew too close to the sun and hit a rough patch. Orton
made bad life choices and dug a hole so deep he should have been
buried by it. Edge pulled him out of the hole and saved his life.
Edge made him realize there’s more to life. Orton has been with his
children to teach them life lessons.
Orton saved Edge’s life. At the Royal Rumble, the reaction Edge got
gave him goosebumps. It wasn’t a one-off. The next night, Orton
realized that Edge thought he was back for good and could start
competing. Orton knew better and knew someone like him could put
Edge in a wheelchair. Orton wanted Lyric and Ruby to have a father.
Thanks to him, Edge can be their father and be Beth’s husband. Edge
can be there for them because of him. Orton did it because he loves
Edge, he loves Beth, and loves their two little girls. Beth is
crying.
The sad truth is everyone blames him for what he did to Edge. Beth
knows deep down in her heart that it isn’t Orton’s fault. It’s
Beth’s fault. Beth is an enabler. If Edge was a drug addict, she
wouldn’t give him drugs. Edge is a junkie for the roar of the crowd,
and she did nothing to stop him. Orton stepped in because he loves
Edge like a brother. Orton did what he could to make sure Edge can
be a husband and a father to Lyric and Ruby. Orton says when he says
it out loud, he realizes something. Orton loves Lyric and Ruby and
Edge more than Beth ever could. Beth shakes her head with tears in
her eyes. Orton says, “Truth hurts, don’t it?” Beth angrily looks at
Orton and slaps him.
Orton angrily throws the microphone down and tries to hold back his
fury. Orton looks Beth Phoenix in the eye and stares a hole through
her. Orton mouths, “You bitch.” Phoenix kicks him, so Orton drops
her with an RKO! Orton immediately leaves the ring and goes up the
ramp.
Referee and trainers run down to help. The commentators talk about
what they just saw. Byron Saxton says Orton is a “son of a bitch.”
Some wrestlers run down to help Beth get up. Beth is holding her
neck.
