Footage of Shawn Michaels winning the Intercontinental Championship from last night's In Your House is shown to start off Monday Night Raw.
Shawn Michaels (WWF Intercontinental
Champion) vs. The Gigolo Jimmy Del Ray with Tom Pritchard and James E Cornette.
Del Ray gets in a few good moves off the ropes, but Michaels keeps control for
most of the match. A DDT by Del Ray gives him a two count. Del Ray
misses a top rope jump and that gives Michaels the chance to regain control of
the match. A top rope elbow drop by Michaels only gets a two count.
A Superkick to Tom Pritchard! Then a Superkick to Del Ray gives him the
win. Michaels dances in celebration of his win.
Footage of Jeff Jarrett singing from last night's In Your House. Then footage of him against Shawn Michaels in his match last night. Vince McMahon believes, along with Dok Henrix that Jarrett was lip synching in his performance and the Roadie was the real singer.
Footage from WWF Superstars of four months ago where Hakushi attacked Bret Hart, followed by more footage of the two men feuding from various times since then to now.
The Smoking Gunns vs. John Faulkner
and Rick Stockhauser
The Smoking Gunns dominate and get the win as Billy pinned their opponent after
their finishing move, an elevated elbow drop.
Waylon Mercy vs. Gary Scott
Mercy dominates from the get-go. A sleeper hold gets Scott to submit.
Waylon Mercy gets the win.
King Mabel has a promo, talking trash about Diesel.
Hakushi with Shinja vs. Bret "The
Hitman" Hart
Hakushi comes to the ring with his bag and his mannequin Bret Hart head.
The match goes back and forth between both men. Hakushi does a top rope
headbutt, but only get a two. Hart does a springboard jump off the ropes
onto Hakushi and Shinja. Hakushi misses a top rope headbutt, giving Hitman
some momentum. Hart does a top rope suplex. Hart then does a
Sharpshooter and gets Hakushi to submit. Hart then attacks Shinja, before
he is attacked by him. Hart piledrives Shinja. Pierre LaFitte comes
out and grabs Hakushi's bag that had Bret Hart's manequin head in it.
A video of Dean Douglas is shown; he is as a teacher with a blackboard showing us his knowledge.
A Shawn Michaels interview ends the program. "How does it feel to be the Intercontinental champion?" "It feels almost as good as I look!"
