WWF Smackdown! Opener:
WWF Smackdown! opened up live in the arena with Jim Ross on commentary. This is a special Live Edition of the World Wrestling Federation Smackdown!. The fans all chanted "USA, USA" in the arena and Vince was in the ring and he said tonight, the spirit of America lives here in Houston, Texas! On behalf of everyone around the world, they would like to extend their condolences to the victims, the families and friends of the victims of the terrorist acts that occurred on Tuesday in New York City and Washington, D.C. Our Nation's leaders have encouraged us to return to living our lives the way we normally do. They have encouraged us to return to living our lives the American way. They have encouraged us to practice and exercise our constitutional rights. As such, tonight is the first public assembly of it's size since Tuesday's tragedy.

Make no mistake about what and the message this public assembly is sending to terrorism tonight. And that message, quite simply is that we will not live our lives in fear! The citizens of Houston are NOT afraid. The citizens of Texas are indeed not afraid. And by God, the citizens of the United States are not afraid. We are proud of who we are, proud of our nation and damn proud to be Americans. The fans busted out with "USA, USA" chants and Vince McMahon said we will fight. We will fight for our families, we will fight for our rights and we will fight for our great Nation. America's heart has been wounded, but her spirit shines as a beacon of freedom. A beacon of freedom that never has been nor ever will be extinguished. The World Wrestling Federation would like to thank each and every one of the fans in the Compaq Center tonight. The World Wrestling Federation would like to thank each and every one of the fans watching on Television. Thank you for the honor and privilege of performing before you here tonight.

Vince got out of the ring and the WWF Smackdown! opening video kicked off the show. Jim Ross and Paul Heyman were at ringside for tonight's event and the World Wrestling Federation and Alliance Superstars made their way out into the arena. The Superstars all lined up and filled up the ramp and staging area as some of them looked to be very emotional going into tonight's show. Howard Finkel asked everyone to rise for the singing of our National Anthem. Lilian Garcia sang the National Anthem from the ring and everyone in that arena was on their feet. After Lilian finished, the fans all chanted "USA, USA!" and Jim Ross said that it's been an emotional night and week for all Americans, and they'll be back, with action. Right after this time out. For the record, the wrestlers who came out on the stage was just about everyone under contract to WWFE. I don't know if the Undertaker was there or not, but he might be out with the injury. Stone Cold, The Rock, Booker T, The Big Show, Chuck Palumbo, Kane were all there.

Edge:
Edge said that he was actually contemplating whether to do this or not, because he doesn't know if all of the fans really care what Edge, better yet Adam Copeland has to say about this. What can be said? He also contemplated whether this show is the right thing to do, and he thought that the right thing to do would be to bring smiles to the faces of everyone out there. This can't be forgotten and never will be. This show was the right thing to do and Edge would like to send his prayers out there to all of those affected.

Ricky Santana, WWF Agent:
Ricky Santana, WWF Agent sent out his condolences. He said that people have asked him if he's mad, and you're damn right he's mad. He's not going to hide his head and live in fear. He would like to commemorate the great fans of Houston for showing Patriotism and commend the WWF for being the first to step up. Ricky got emotional and he said to his loving wife and family, everything is going to be okay and Dad's coming home.

Terri:
Terri said that she thinks what hit her the strongest was coming from the angle and the spirit of a mother. She has a beautiful child at home. To think about all of the children who will not have their mommies and daddies, grandparents, brothers and sisters, just from the whole human aspect, it breaks her heart that this could happen. In the name of what?

The Rock:
The Rock spoke about this, and he said that he can't fathom or comprehend the pain, suffering and anguish that the families and friends of the victims are going through. The workers working diligently 24 hours a day, sifting through the rubble and looking for any sign of life is difficult to talk about this. The Rock said that he couldn't imagine what it must be like to be there. He couldn't imagine what it would be like if his own family was there. He offered his condolences and said that everybody is in his heart and prayers. The Rock said to everyone out there, again to the family and friends of the victims and everyone involved is to just stay strong.

Jim McIngvale, a friend of the WWF:
Jim McIngvale from Houston said that he would like to tell all of the families across the United States that our prayers are with them. However, they are also here to celebrate the incredible freedom that they have in this country. Jim thanked Vince McMahon for getting the ball rolling again, and he's glad the WWF is back in Houston, so we can enjoy our freedoms.

Winner, the WWF Hardcore Champion, Rob Van Dam

Chris Jericho:
Chris Jericho said to be quite honest, he would like to be in NYC to help go through the rubble. Since he can't be, maybe they can learn from this, to be a more peaceful race. One thing that we learned is that we never know what is going to happen tomorrow, or the next 10 minutes. Tonight, hug your loved one a little harder or give them an extra kiss. Be nicer.

Michael Hayes:
Michael Hayes said that Americans aren't perfect people, and we never claimed that, but we are good people. The people that did this are evil people and it has put some things into perspective. The things that we used to read in History books that seemed like stories, you really feel how real it is and how so many women and men have fought and died for freedom and that's something that will never stop in this country, because we are Americans and we will fight and die for our freedom. It brings to mind two sayings: United We Stand, Divided We Fall. We haven't fallen, and we are more united than we will ever be. The second is: Be careful what you ask for, because you might just get it. Michael personally can't wait to see those responsible get it.

Shawn Stasiak:
Shawn said that all he can say is that his heart and prayers go out to the families and friends. This is the time for America to come together and be stronger. When this all clears, Shawn thinks that we'll over come it and we'll be a stronger Nation.

Lita:
Lita said that she doesn't know what to say. This is so evil and she tries to delve below. She has sadness, anger, fear and helplessness going through her. Who would do something like this? Why? What were they trying to accomplish? They don't understand. They start to get the suspects and motives for an event like this, but what does this solve? It doesn't change anything that has happened. Lita has watched the TV ever since Tuesday morning and the only thing that has changed is it's become more of a reality. Lita has never felt anything like this, personally or on a National level. She would never have what it takes to say that she knows what to do during something like this. Whenever she has a problem, it begins with stopping everything and taking a deep breath. Lita hopes that tonight's entertainment can help get the fans' mind off of things.

Christian vs. Chris Jericho
In the arena, Christian's music hit and he made his way to the ring for a one on one match against Chris Jericho. Christian got in the ring and he got on the mic and said greetings to all of his fans in Houston. Now he knows what they are all thinking, was that not the greatest entrance they have ever seen? The fans gave it a positive reaction and Christian said it was literally raining goldage, which is so appropriate, because soon, he will have gold of his own when he wins a certain title. A certain Intercontinental...Chris Jericho's music hit to shut Christian up and the fans went nuts! The fans chanted "Y2J, Y2J" and Chris said that he knows what all of these people are thinking. They are thinking, junior, would you please shut the hell up! But as far as Christian's ring entrance goes.

It's pretty cool. It's just like a real life Opera. What a great Opera song he has. He likes the lyrics. Christian, Christian! The jackass of the year! But no one is going to remember Christian's entrance tonight, but they will remember his exit. Christian! When he leaves the ring after receiving a Y2J beating that he will never e-e-ever forget agayn! Chris Jericho stormed to the ring and he knocked Christian down with a flying forearm and then he backed him into the corner and chopped away on him. Chris Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho in the early goings and Christian fought out of it. Chris kicked Christian in the face and then he went for a clothesline but Christian slammed Chris Jericho's shoulder into the ring post. Christian then yanked away on Chris Jericho and then he took him down with an arm bar take down. Christian pinned Chris Jericho for a two count.

The referee started the count and the fans chanted for Y2J. Christian and Jericho got back to their feet and they exchanged blows. Christian whipped Jericho off the ropes and Jericho came back with a shoulder block to knock Christian down. Chris Jericho hit Christian with a back brain kick and then he gave him a bulldog take down and then he went for the lionsault but Christian got his knees up. Wow, I just noticed that they have the red, white, and blue ropes back for tonight's action. Christian took Chris Jericho down and then he pinned him for a two count. Christian got angry, because he thought he had a three count and then Chris Jericho rolled Christian up from behind and he got a pin for a three count to get the win!

Chris Kanyon:
Kanyon said that his cousins are New York City cops. They have been part of the rescue effort and he's very proud of them and all of the people of New York City, the way they have dealt with this. They have come together and they are giving blood and volunteering. More than anything else at this time, Kanyon is just proud of his country.

Tazz:
Tazz said that besides the Pentagon and the plane in Pittsburgh, and the bomb scares in NY, it's scary for him to be this far from his family. His wife and son, he's just worried, because of all of the bomb scares. He wants to be there to protect them. He has to do what he has to do. He misses his son, and these people who are responsible for this, they are going to pay and they are going to pay hard. He doesn't know who it was, but somebody said we are going to bring them to justice. That's a load of crap. Don't bring them to justice. Bring them down to their knees until they aren't breathing. Tazz doesn't know when he's going home, but New York is his home and he can't wait to go home. He doesn't know what home looks like now.

Torrie Wilson:
Torrie Wilson said she would like to give her heart felt condolences to those who have lost a family member or a loved one in this terrible tragedy. Torrie said her heart goes out to all of them.

Hurricane Helms:
Helms paid his respect to all of those who have gone out of their way to help a fellow human. Because the people that did this, they are less than human. The people that helped and tried to fight against it, they proved to the world that they are more than that.

Bubba Ray Dudley:
Bubba said that there's an old saying: That which does not kill us, makes us stronger. Many died, but you can't kill America and our spirit. Somebody is going to pay for this, and he hopes it's soon.

In ring promo:
The Rock's music hit in the arena and he made his way to the ring as the WCW Heavyweight Champion and the fans went nuts! The Rock got in the ring and he said "Finally, The Rock has come back to Houston!" Now seeing as this is a very special night and The Rock has come to Houston to have a GREAT time, and seeing as we are Live, Live, Live on The Rock's show. Live on Smackdown!. The Rock is issuing a challenge to anybody in the back who wants to go one on one with the Great One. Who wants to go one on one with the Great One and get a piece of The Rock. Shawn Stasiak's music hit and he made his way out along with Stacy Keibler and he stormed into the ring and charged at The Rock, but The Rock stepped out of the way and Shawn went flying to the outside of the ring. The Rock then said that if there is anybody out there who wants a shot at The Rock, come on out right now.

Shawn Stasiak started to leave and he stormed back to the ring, only to get tossed to the outside of the ring by The Rock. Shawn got extremely angry and The Rock said before The Rock was so rudely interrupted, one more time, if there is anyone, and The Rock means anyone back there who wants a shot at The Rock, come out and go one on one with the Great One! Shawn started to leave again, but then he turned back and stormed to the ring. The Rock yelled at him, telling him to stop. The Rock asked Shawn what is the matter with you? What are you doing? Every single week, The Rock sees him knocking himself out. Tonight, he comes running down twice, and twice, he went flying over the top rope. Does he like that? Huh? No, he doesn't. Does it feel good to get thrown over the top rope? No, it doesn't. It's embarrassing, isn't it? And, it probably hurts. So now listen, relax. The Rock and Shawn Stasiak can relax and talk like adults and talk about something that everybody enjoys.

Let's talk about Pie. The Rock then asked Shawn Stasiak if he likes the Pie. Shawn said absolutely not. He hates Pie! The fans booed Stasiak and The Rock said that everybody knows that The Rock likes Pie. Houston, Texas loves that Pie! And Shawn says that he doesn't like Pie? So dare The Rock say it? He doesn't like that Strudel, does he? The Rock then turned towards Stacy and asked her if she likes the people's...Stacy nodded and The Rock said to let him get it out! Hold on. One more time, does she like the people's strudel? Stacy nodded and smiled and Shawn said excuse me, he wants his WCW Title shot, NOW. The fans booed and The Rock said oh he is going to get his WCW Title shot, now. The Rock said that the WCW Title means everything to The Rock. But before they officially begin, why not shake The Rock's hand and then they'll have the WCW Title match, tonight.

Winner and still WCW Heavyweight Champion, The Rock

Debra:
Debra said that she's not really good at doing stuff like this, but she comes from a family where all three of her brothers were in the armed forces. She was raised to be a fighter and stand up for what you believe in. What has happened has been unbelievable. It's ripped her heart out. How dare they do this to Americans. She's still in shock from watching it on TV. It was like a dream, it was horrible. Debra has lost a lot of loved ones in her life and she feels so bad for the people in New York for what they are going through. Especially for the ones that don't know where their loved ones are. Debra's heart goes out for everyone that has lost loved ones and everyone that has been a victim in this. In a way, we have all been victims. How dare they do this to Americans, and she can't wait until we pay these people back.

Hugh Morrus:
Hugh Morrus said that he has a brother back there right now. He's a fireman and they are finding guys alive. Some dead. They call the WWF Superstars role models and heroes, but what they are watching on TV is heroes, putting their lives on the line. What is happening makes Hugh sick. When you talk about role models to your kids, sit them down in front of the TV and instead of watching the WWF, explain what a real role model is. Teach them about America and that's pretty much it.

Ivory:
Ivory said first of all, she just wants to send out our prayers from everyone at the WWF. The talent, the crew, the creative staff and the McMahon family. They want to send their prayers out to the victims of this tragedy, to the families of those who perished and everyone. Ivory wants to speak to the young Americans of our country. The children. Ivory doesn't want them to be afraid and she doesn't want them to be judgmental. She just wants the children to know that there are far more good people in this country and in this world than there are bad. America is made up of people of all walks of life and that's what makes our country so wonderful and free. As a country, we are going to embrace this tragedy. We will embrace it and remember it and it's devastation and cruelty is what will challenge all of us to become a more stronger and connected human race.

Bradshaw:
Bradshaw said that he has heard and seen of cowardly acts before. Some maniac has attacked America, all because of some religious belief or some other motive? These people had NOTHING to do with them. They are running a show tonight, to show that you cannot break or bend the fiber, the backbone of the United States of America. There are going to be some critics that wonder why they run this show. For them: GO TO HELL. They are doing this show to show their love for America. Bradshaw said that if he had to, he would give his life for this great country. George W was one of the greatest Governors of the State of Texas. It's time that he will become a great President. The guys out there, they are going to find their asses and make their country into a stinking parking lot.

Kurt Angle:
Kurt Angle said that he just wants to say that his heart, thoughts and prayers go to the victims of their families. He's always wanted to do something special to be considered an American Hero. After winning the Olympic Gold Medals at the Olympics, some would consider him an American Hero. After watching this terrible tragedy, he knows who the real American Heroes are. The policemen, firemen, paramedics and everyone who is helping the victims and their families. They are the true American Heroes. They deserve a Gold Medal. Better yet, they earned the right to be called Americans. It's true.

Lance Storm:
Lance Storm said that he spent the better part of the day to come up with the right words. They don't exist. He's watched the news. Heard the attack on America. Things like this shouldn't happen in the US, or even in the world. It's an attack on the world. Storm isn't an American, and he doesn't live in this country, but this effects his life. Every day that he steps on a plane to come to work, from now on, his wife and kids are going to worry about him. Every day that he's not home to tuck his kids in and kiss his wife goodnight, he's going to worry about them. Make no mistakes about it, this isn't an attack on America. It's an attack on the world and it effects us all. It's a very sad day that he doesn't think that he'll ever forget.

D-Von Dudley:
D-Von said when it hits really close to him, it wakes you up to realize that this is very real. People are jealous, because their country is so screwed up right now. They don't have the freedom that the United States has, so they want to bring everybody else down with them. As people, we need to stick together. If this doesn't bring us closer, he doesn't know what will.

RED CROSS NEEDS YOUR HELP NOW: 1-800-HELPNOW or WWW.REDCROSS.ORG

Mike Thornton:
Mike Thornton from Houston, Texas said that this is a great place to live. He would like to thank Vince and the WWF for coming forward to be the first sports group to stand up and say: Hey, we aren't going to let this change our way of life. We have to get on with living, and that's what it's all about. Vince McMahon and the WWF is doing that right now in Houston, Texas.

Stacy Keibler:
Stacy Keibler said being that she's only 21, this is something that her generation has only read about in text books in school. We are really getting a reality check right now on what the words compassion and Patriotism mean. She has a new respect for the word freedom. America needs to stick together and stop fighting one another and come together as a whole. Stacy's thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families across the country.

Stone Cold Steve Austin:
Austin doesn't have anything to say that's going to change the world, but he was given the chance to speak. He offers his opinion. What he thinks is that the people who did this are nothing but a bunch of complete cowards. His heart goes out to the loved ones, and tonight, by going back to work for the WWF, it's the thing to do. It feels strange, and he's had this bad feeling come over him since this whole thing has happened. As a person, and as a country, we have to shake it. We have to mourn the losses of the people that we knew, but we have to get the gears rolling again. That's what they are here for tonight. What happened this past Tuesday was the worst thing that Austin has ever seen in his whole life, and he hopes that he never has to see this again, except for the people who did this when they get a payback. They deserve what they have coming to them.

Booker T:
Booker T gave his condolences to everyone who was involved. Everybody who was on the flights, the firemen, policemen...As soon as this happened, they wanted to save someone. It's tragic. In history, they will always be remembered as heroes. For something like this to happen in America, it's given everyone uncertainties. Can they go out of their houses? Booker T knows that it's going to make everyone stronger and pull them together.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley:
Stephanie said a few years ago, some people tried to destroy her family. They attacked her parents reputation and the World Wrestling Federation. They tried to rip them apart, but all they did was make her family stronger. That's exactly how America feels right now, because on Tuesday, America was attacked, but America is a United Nation, and together, we stand strong. Stephanie is incredibly proud to be an American citizen and she will stand up for her rights and freedom!

Lilian Garcia:
Lilian Garcia said that this has been a real roller coaster of a week, especially because she lives in New York City. She has loved ones there, and she's fortunate and glad that a specific one didn't get to go to his meeting at 8:30 in the morning. He was to be at the Twin Towers. She thanks God for that, and she still doesn't know about a lot of her friends. She's still praying and hoping.

Faarooq:
Faarooq said that it's kind of hard to put into words, and he's sure that it's been repeated over and over, but there's no way you can describe such a horrific act of terrorism and cowardness of what has happened. Faarooq's heart and best wishes goes out to the families of the lost loved ones in this horrible act. Faarooq knows that the American people will prevail, and it's time to show these cowards that we mean business.

William Regal:
William Regal said coming from a country that has a threat of terrorism all of the time, you can't explain the feelings that he has right now of how angry he is of what's happened, but it's happened and we've got to go on with our lives. It's great to see that people are rallying around and doing the best they can to help out so that life can continue. That's basically what it's all about, that life continues and everybody has to rally around and go on with it. That's what life's all about.

Albert:
Albert said waking up on the morning of Tuesday, September 11th to see the tragedy that took place left a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach. Never before has he seen or heard of something so tragic. He hopes that America can over come this. They pray for the victims and their families and justice will be brought to the cowards that did this. God Bless America and he truly hopes that we can over come this.
