They show some highlights from the
World Heavyweight Championship match at Vengeance between Mark Henry and Big
Show. Henry delivered a massive superplex to Big Show, and the ring imploded.
The match was deemed a no contest. The question of the future of the World
Heavyweight Championship is raised. We'll find out tonight.
Smackdown's General Manager, Teddy Long, is in the ring. Long says that
following the extraordinary events that happened at Vengeance, the statuses of
Mark Henry, Big Show, and the World Heavyweight Championship are in a state of
flux. Despite the injuries that they both suffered, both Mark Henry and the Big
Show are here. Long promises that the future of the championship will be
addressed tonight.
Christian's music hits, and the former World Champion makes his way to the ring
before Teddy Long can say anything else. Christian says the future of the World
Heavyweight Championship will be addressed right now. There's no doubt in
anyone's mind that what Mark Henry and Big Show did at Vengeance was historic.
By historic he means it is history. Big Show had his opportunity, and he blew
it. That leaves a huge void in the World Heavyweight Championship situation.
Christian says that void will be filled by the man that has dominated this brand
for the last five months. Long wonders what he means by "dominating", and he
reminds Christian that he had his head kicked off by Sheamus at Vengeance.
Christian says it's called "resiliency". That's the true measure of a champion –
to be resilient. That's exactly what he is. Christian tells him to find somebody
who is more resilient than he is.
CM Punk's music hits, and the Raw superstar makes his way to the ring. Christian
continues as if Punk isn't there. Christian says he deserves one more match.
Christian asks what Punk is doing there, and wonders why he's interrupting him.
Long says since Raw has enjoyed using some Smackdown superstars on their
"super-shows", he's pulled some strings and arranged for some Raw superstars to
be here tonight for a Super Smackdown.
Punk thanks Long for having him and says it's good to be here. Punk says it's
nice to be on a show with some competent leadership. Christian laughs, and says
Punk "has never met Teddy Long before." Punk says Christian has never spent one
minute with John Laurinaitis. John Laurinaitis makes Teddy Long look like FDR.
Long thanks him, and Punk mentions it wasn't really a compliment, but he
digresses. Punk is here because he's a huge fan of "Rusty Bird" (Christian).
Punk says he'd like to see Christian get one more match. Punk says he's a fan of
Christian's wrestling ability. Christian stops him and reminds him that he
hijacked the WWE Title over the summer. Christian says that was a complete joke.
Christian says it's also a complete joke that John Laurinaitis is considering
giving Punk a title shot against Alberto Del Rio.
Punk says that's why Laurinaitis is so bad at his job. Maybe Laurinaitis is
trying to set him up, or maybe he's considering actually considering giving him
a shot. Maybe he's considering it because, unlike Christian, he doesn't waste
everybody's time by bitching and moaning. Punk then continues saying, "And
bitching, and bitching, and bitching..." The crowd chants loudly for CM Punk.
Christian says he doesn't care whether Punk was invited here or not. Christian
says as the leader of Smackdown, and someone who is respected in the locker
room, he's not going to allow him to talk to him like that. Christian tells him
to take his pipe bomb back to Raw because nobody wants him here. The crowd
chants for him, and Punk jokes that nobody wants him here. Punk then mentions
that 10,000 people in Houston want him here. Punk says he's sure the people of
Houston would like to see him in a match against Christian. Long books the
match, and Punk says, "Holla!" Christian does not look happy, and he yells at
Teddy Long.

Sunday at Vengeance, they beat CM Punk and Triple H. On Monday Night Raw, they
destroyed Zack Ryder and beat up John Cena. The Miz says they beat John Cena so
badly that he had to enlist The Rock's help at Survivor Series. R-Truth says
they must have given Cena some brain damage since he picked the one partner who
dislikes him even more than they do. The Miz says if they don't destroy each
other beforehand, they'll finish the job at Survivor Series.

him. Long says he didn't put him in that match to mess with him, just like he's
not trying to mess with him by putting him in a match against Randy Orton
tonight. Swagger assures Ziggler that they've "got" this. Long says Swagger is
banned from ringside. They angrily walk off. The cheesy saxophone music hits,
