“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring
alongside Paul Heyman. Reigns saunters down to the ring and poses
with pyrotechnics going off. Reigns asks Heyman what to call this
place. It’s the Island of Relevancy. Heyman says Reigns makes
everyone relevant. Reigns says the numbers and analytics don’t lie.
You can look at it in the flesh. Just look at Jey Uso. Before he was
the twin you didn’t know which was which. Now in the past two weeks
he’s emerged. Two weeks ago, he destroyed Daniel Bryan. Last week,
he destroyed Kevin Owens. At Survivor Series, Jey will lead Reigns’
team into Survivor Series and win.
Reigns says that night he’ll beat the secondary champion Randy
Orton. If you think about Orton, and Reigns doesn’t, you can respect
the accomplishments without respecting the man himself.
Drew McIntyre’s music hits, and the former WWE Champion (and current
Raw Superstar), makes his way to the ring. McIntyre says it’s been a
minute to Reigns. McIntyre asks Heyman if he missed him. McIntyre
says he knows how valuable Reigns’ time is, but he heard him talking
about Orton. Reigns won’t be facing Orton at Survivor Series. This
Monday, McIntyre will face Orton for the WWE Championship. At
Survivor Series, he’ll face Reigns.
A lot has changed since the last time they were in the ring
together. When was that? It was when McIntyre eliminated Reigns to
win the Royal Rumble. Since then he made Heyman’s client his bitch
and defeated him at WrestleMania. Reigns disappeared before
WrestleMania, leaving the fans high and dry. Someone had to step up
and it was Drew McIntyre. Reigns sees being a top guy as a right,
but McIntyre is the top guy now.
Reigns says he respects McIntyre and what he said was true, but he’s
back now. Ever since he came back, no one knows who McIntyre is.
Reigns doesn’t watch Raw (Heyman says nobody does). Reigns says no
one watches Raw — they watch SmackDown for him. Now that McIntyre
failed his audition, he should say who he is. McIntyre asks Reigns
if he really wants to know who he is. McIntyre says he’s the guy
that will beat Randy Orton for the WWE Championship on Raw, he’ll
head to Survivor Series as WWE Champion, and he’s the guy who will
show Reigns who the secondary champion really is.
Jey Uso runs down and steps between them. Uso says this isn’t
Monday. It’s Friday Night SmackDown. They run this show. What is
McIntyre doing here? McIntyre is being real disrespectful. Daniel
Bryan and Kevin Owens were disrespectful and he got them. It seems
like he has to get McIntyre, too. Uso challenges McIntyre to a
match. Uso drops the microphone before McIntyre can say anything, so
McIntyre shoves him down. Reigns holds Uso back and stares at
McIntyre. Reigns and Uso then leave the ring.
Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins will battle in a No Holds Barred Match
later tonight. Sami Zayn will defend the WWE Intercontinental
Championship against Apollo Crews, next.
-Commercial Break-

says he found out at 7 p.m. that he has to defend his title against
Apollo Crews, a former United States Champion… on one hour notice!
This is sabotage by WWE, but he’ll get through it. It’ll be an
opportunity to show Bobby Lashley the difference between the US
Champion and the Intercontinental Champion. Zayn had to beat two
future WWE Hall of Famers just to get the title back he never lost.
Who else has had to do that?

Carmella is in the back watching…
