The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith was first known as a tag team wrestler with The Dynamite Kid under the name of the British Bulldogs. Davey was trained by the legendary Stu Hart. Davey also married Diana Hart, Stu's daughter. The team of the British Bulldogs used to come to the ring with a bulldog. They won the WWE Tag Team Championships.

After a few years together, The Dynamite Kid left the WWE and The British Bulldog competed in singles competitions. Davey won the WWE Intercontinental Championship by defeating his brother-in-law Bret Hart in his home country of England at Summer Slam 1992.

Shortly after, he left for WCW where he became a main eventer and became friends with Sting, teaming up for a few matches. He never won any titles in the company. He then made his way back to WWE and won the European Championship. Davey went back to WCW for a very short while, before ending his major federation wrestling career in WWE, where he didn't amount to much this time around.

He was off of national TV and national promotions at the time of his death on May 18, 2002; he died from a heart attack.
