in Atlanta, Georgia. The US title was held up when the match
between Rick Rude and Dustin Rhodes wrestled to a double
pinfall. A series of matches resulted in no winner of the
title, including a 30 minute iron man match. Dustin won a best
of three series 2-1 over Rude to win the title.

- On November 1, 1999, Bret Hart vacated the
title and attempted to return the belt to Goldberg. After
watching a tape of his match, Hart realized the match had
interference. Before being able to return the belt to
Goldberg, Hart was attacked by Sid Vicious and the Outsiders -
Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. Sid Vicious stole the belt but is
not acknowledged as the champion. On the same night, Hall
defeated Vicious and took the belt from him.
