Rey Mysterio (WWE Intercontinental Champion) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Rey comes out dressed in LA Lakers colors. Rey goes for high flying moves and Ziggler goes for submission moves.  Rey gets a 619 and Dolph gets a move and almost wins.  A Top Rope Hurricanrana gives Rey the win to retain the championship.

MVP and Jack Swagger are interviewed backstage

Jack Swagger vs. MVP

A boot to the face and a Playmaker give MVP the win  in a rather short match for the two of them. 

Luke Perry is shown in attendance in the front row.  A video package of RAW's guest hosts is shown.  Nancy O'Dell is telling us about "Betty's Battle," her chairity for ALS.  She interviews Freddie Prinze, Jr.  He is ready to come back since Randy Orton attacked him on RAW.

Chris Jericho and The Big Show (WWE Unified Tag Team Champions) vs. Cryme Tyme

JTG does a Powerslam on Jericho.  A Walls of Jericho on JTG.  The Big Show attacks JTG from the outside without the referee seeing it and Jericho gets to pin him for the win.  They retain the titles.

CM Punk is interviewed backstage by Josh Matthews. 

Kane vs. The Great Kahli with Ranjin Singh

They both try to Chokeslam each other.  The Kahli Vice Grip is applied.  Kane then attacks Singh.  Then a Baseball Slide/Dropkick to Kahli's leg, followed by a DDT and a quick pin give a win to Kane in this slow-paced match.

Maria Menounas, Slash, and Robert Patrick are shown in the front row of the crowd.

D-X (Shawn Michaels and Triple H) vs. Legacy (Ted DiBiase, Jr. and Cody Rhodes)

D-X comes out with a Jeep filled with soldiers shooting guns. They enter the arena on a tank!  The match goes back and forth between the two teams.  DX does some of their classic taunts.  Shawn does a jump from the ring to the outside on Rhodes, while DiBiase does a kick to the grown on Triple H.  Legacy keeps Triple H from tagging Michaels, but eventually gets to.  Rhodes misses a top rope elbow drop on Michaels.  Michaels does an elbow drop and it is countered.  Michaels doe a Figure Four on Rhodes.  Rhodes does a Crossroad on Michaels, but Triple H interrupts the pin.  A Pedigree on Rhodes. DiBiase does a Dream Streets on Tri;le H.  DiBiase and Triple H fight on the commentator's table.  Sweet Chin Music on Rhodes gives D-X the win! 

Christian (ECW Heavyweight Champion) vs. William Regal with Kozlov and Jackson

As soon as Regal gets in the ring, Christian does a Kill Switch and gets the pin in this very quick match.  Regal, Kozlov and Jackson attack Christian. 

Footage of the Summer Slam Axxess festival is shown.  Celebrities were interviewed and some of the wrestlers thank thank the fans for attending. 

John Cena vs. Randy Orton (WWE Champion)

The match goes back and forth between each man.  This will probably be one of the longer matches of the night.  The crowd's chant is split half and half for Cena dna Orton.  A Five Knuckle Shuffle by Cena. A DDT by Orton.  Cena goes for a top rope leg drop.  A Double Clothesline by both men.  They get up and trade fist punches.  Orton shoved the referee and is disqualified.  Randy Orton is the new champion?  Mr. McMahon ordered for the match to restart and if Orton is DQ'd, he'll lose the championship.  Orton takes his belt and walks to the back with it.  John Cena wins with a count out.  Mr. McMahon says that it will continue and if he is counted out, he'll lose the title, too.  Orton gets the pin quickly while laying on the middle rope! He retains the title.  Another referee comes out - they continue again.  An STF by Cena.  People come in and attack the referee?  (It was probably real)  The match continues.  An RKO by Orton gives him the win. 

CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy (WWE Heavyweight Champion)
Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match

The entranceway and ringside is decorated with ladders, tables and chairs.  The weapons start early and are used often in the match.  Hardy does a jump through an empty table.  Hardy does a Powerbomb off the tall ladder in the middle of the ring.   Punk does a Superplex off the top rope onto a ladder.  They fight on top of the commentator's table.  Hardy jumps from the tall ladder onto Punk on top of the commentator's table!  The EMT's tend to Hardy as Punk goes for the belt.  Punk is able to knock off Hardy and grab the title.  He is the new champion!  The lights go out and The Undertaker's music comes on.  The lights come on and the Taker is where Hardy was.  He Chokeslams Punk.
