AEW World Tag Team Championships
“The Cleaner” Kenny Omega & “Hangman” Adam Page (c) (7-0) vs.
The Natural Nightmares (Dustin Rhodes & QT Marshall) (5-0)
w/Brandi Rhodes
This one gets boxing style championship intros from Justin Roberts.
Allie is not at ringside with her new boyfriend QT Marshall. Rhodes
and Omega kick things off with some nice chain wrestling that ends
with Omega going straight for the One Winged Angel. Rhodes blocks it
and elbows Omega sending him reeling into the corner.
Rhodes charges at Omega but Omega leapfrogs him and connects with a
Hurricanrana. Rhodes knees Omega and hits a Diving Rana off the top
and goes for the CrossRhodes but Omega escapes. Following that
stalemate, Page and Marshall both tag in and begin their own series
of chain wrestling.
A replay shows that Omega’s knee caught Rhodes flush on the head
when he went up for the leapfrog. Marshall catches Page with a nice
Sting-like Dropkick but Page answers with a Cowboy Kick. Omega tags
in and hits a Springboard Polish Hammer to the ribs of Marshall as
Page held him in place.
Omega goes for a Cross Body but Marshall catches him and counters
into a Suplex before tagging Dustin back into the match. Rhodes hits
a Back Suplex and then a Knee Drop. Tony Schiavone says that Dr.
Britt Baker has told her that she is going to self isolate herself
“because of all of that… you know.”
Rhodes and Marshall work Omega over in their corner with a number of
quick tags. Omega is able to get some separation with a Leg Lariat
before making the tag to Page. Page hits a big Rebound Lariat on
Marshall. Page hits a Fall Away Slam and then a Slingshot Plancha
onto Rhodes on the floor. Page hits a Sliding Lariat on Marshall in
the ring for a nearfall.
Omega tags in and hits a Rolling Fireman’s Carry followed by a
Diving Moonsault for a nearfall on Marshall. Omega tags Page and he
hits another Cowboy Kick, but Marshall comes back with a Back
Handspring into an Enziguri. Omega and Rhodes tag back in and Rhodes
hits a series of clotheslines and an Uppercut.
Rhodes hits an Atomic Drop on Omega and then a Bulldog before
connecting with a Snap Powerslam and then one for Page, as well.
Rhodes goes up top and hits a beautiful Tumbleweed onto both Page
and Omega. Rhodes tosses Omega to the floor and then follows up by
throwing Page out with him. Rhodes hits a Somersault Senton onto
both Page and Omega and as Omega is getting up Marshall hits the QT
Special on him!
Back in the ring, Marshall hits a Diving Uppercut on Omega and then
goes for the Diamond Cutter but Omega counters into the Snap Dragon.
Rhodes comes in and hits Omega with the American Destroyer but eats
a Lariat from Page. Page goes for a slam on Marshall but eats the
Diamond Cutter! All four men are down as Allie walks onto the stage
and tries to inspire QT.
Marshall climbs up to and attempts a Diving Moonsault but Omega
rolls out of the way. Page tags in and the champs toss each other
into elbows on Marshall in the corner. Page hits a Roaring Elbow and
then tosses Marshall into an Assisted German Suplex from Omega for a
nearfall. Rhodes broke up that pin attempt.
Page hits a Powerbomb on Marshall and then Omega hits the V-Trigger
as Page hits a Plancha onto Rhodes on the floor. Omega gets another
nearfall on Marshall. Omega and Page hit the Last Call for the pin
on Marshall.
Winners: Page & Omega via pinfall (Last Call)

A vignette for Anna Jay airs with her talking about her love for
wrestling. She says as soon as she signed with AEW she realized that
she has to work even harder. She says that her biggest aspect is
putting on a show and entertaining people, which is why she calls
herself the “star of the show.”
“The Star of the Show” Anna Jay (0-2) vs. Abadon (0-1)
Abadon has an insane, creepy look and a very unique entrance. Their
running results from AEW Dark on a ticker at the bottom of the
screen, which is a nice touch. Abadon attacks Jay at the bell and
goes nuts on her. Abadon hits a Rana Driver for the quick pin.
Winner: Abadon via pinfall (Abadon)
The Dark Order comes down to ringside and Evil Uno hands Colt Cabana
an envelope. Cabana opens it and stares up at Brodie Lee. The Dark
Order also help Anna Jay out of the ring and Brodie offers her his
hand, which she accepts.

Gunn hits a Hip Toss to start things off but MJF pokes him in the
eyes and then ducks a Big Boot attempt only for Gunn to shove him
and connect with one for a nearfall. MJF retreats up the ramp but
Gunn follows him and drags him back to the ring.
MJF attempts to catch Gunn with a Jawbreaker onto the top rope but
Gunn blocks it and goes for the Fameasser. MJF moves and hits a
series of chop blocks to Gunn’s knee. MJF immediately goes on the
attack on that knee with a series of knee strikes and cannonballs
onto it.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
MJF continues to work on Gunn’s knee until Gunn starts to get going
again with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker as MJF came off the ropes.
Gunn goes for the Fameasser again but again MJF moves out of the way
and Gunn sells the knee. He attempts a Splash but MJF moves and
Gunn’s knee crashes inot the turnbuckles and MJF puts him in a
Reverse Figure Four.

Gunn blocks it and connects with the Fameasser. Wardlow distracts
the referee but eats a right hand from Gunn. Wardlow tosses MJF the
AEW ring and then hits one of Gunn’s sons. Gunn goes to the outside
and throws Wardlow into the barricade. AEW nails Gunn with the
loaded punch as he gets back in the ring and gets the pin.

Jungle Boy gets in MJF’s face after the match and a big brawl erupts
between MJF and Wardlow and the Jurassic Express. The roster breaks
them up.
Jericho and Guevara cut a promo backstage about being blood brothers
and how they have each other’s backs.
Schiavone announces that Hikaru Shida will defend her title against
Penelope Ford at Fyter Fest. Britt Baker gets pissed off and screams
that she is a conspiracy victim and she and Tony are now in a
“friendship timeout” for announcing that. Baker tells Rebel to drive
her away but it’s revealed Big Swole is actually in the golf cart
and drives her away.

On Twitter, AEW has announced that Abadon has officially signed with

In a vignette Starks talks about his career and about how he’s come
from sleeping in his car and having nothing to being a true star. He
says he’s the hottest free agent in wrestling and he’s here to prove
himself.
AEW TNT Championship
“American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes (12-1) w/Arn Anderson vs.
“Absolute” Ricky Starks (0-0)
Starks is most known for his run in Billy Corgan’s NWA but he has
wrestled all over the world. This is actually my very first time
seeing a full match from him. Jake Hager is shown watching
backstage. Cody and Starks mat wrestle early on but it turns into a
brawl quickly. Rhodes gets the advantage with a Dropkick and then he
hangs Starks up in the ropes and kicks him in the ribs.

ring, Cody hits the ropes but Starks moves out of the way sending
Cody crashing HARD ribs-first into the middle rope in a spot that
looked absolutely brutal. Starks hits a Guillotine Leg Drop on Cody

nearfall. Starks puts Cody in a Chinlock and then elbows him in the
head. Cody catches a charging Starks with a Snap Powerslam for a

Starks blocks it only for Cody to connect with a Front Suplex for
another nearfall instead. Cody goes to the top but Starks cuts him
off and climbs up with Cody. Starks hits a Superplex but immediately
starts grabbing his neck when they land.
Starks hits a Flying Cross Body that sends both men flying over the
top rope to the floor. Back in the ring, Starks and Cody exchange
right hands and Cody attempts the Disaster Kick but Starks ducks and
nails him with a Spear for another nearfall. Cody sweeps Starks’
legs and rolls him up for a nearfall. Both men exchange some nice
counters and nearfalls until Cody connects with the CrossRhodes for
the pin.
Winner & STILL TNT Champ: Cody via pinfall (Cross Rhodes)

from Nick. The Bucks hit Risky Business on Havoc for a nearfall.
Nick tags back in and The Bucks set up for the Meltzer Driver but

attempt. Havoc tosses Matt to the floor but Nick shoves Havoc into
Sabian. Matt hits a Double Northern Lights Suplex on the heels. The

and attacks them. The Bucks hit Double Mind Breakers on Jimmy Havoc
and Blade at the same time and then stare each other down.
Earlier today, Taz says that he was hanging out with Brian Cage last
week when they heard Jon Moxley running his mouth. Taz calls Moxley
a “rotten son of a bitch” and says that Moxley calls himself a
“miserable person” but Taz “took that gimmick” decades ago. Cage
says that Moxley brought what is going to happen to him on himself.
He says that he wishes Fyter Fest right now and he says he doesn’t
know what he wants more, to drop Moxley on his head or take his
title.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Jon Moxley cuts a promo about his match with Cage at Fyter Fest. Mox
says he is the judge, jury and executioner of AEW and he has “bad
demons” inside him and the only thing that keeps them at bay is
hurting people in the ring. Mox says “Brian Cage beat me if you can,
survive… if you are a miserable enough son of a bitch to swim in the
deep water I’m about to drag you in.”
Sammy Guevara vs. Matt Hardy is announced for next week along with
Brodie Lee & Colt Cabana against Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss.
Also, Wardlow faces Luchasaurus in a Lumberjack Match and Mox is in
action.
Rebel is looking for Britt Baker backstage and she finds her in a
dumpster almost puking. Baker fires Rebel but when Rebel says, “you
mean I’m free?” and starts to walk away Baker changes her mind and
says she is rehired and freaks out on her more. Baker screams at
Rebel to text Schiavone to come help her. Baker says that Big Swole
will pay for this and she will sue her and make sure she will never
forget the day she kidnapped her.
“Broken” Matt Hardy comes down for some guest commentary. This
should be interesting.
