It is fifteen years in the making. The two men are here live to sign the contract. Out first is John Cena, who comes out to his traditional mixed reception from the crowd. As Cena makes his way to the ring, footage is shown from two weeks ago of AJ Styles and The Club ambushing Cena on RAW. Cena gets in the ring and grabs a microphone as the boos grow louder for him. This Sunday live on the WWE Network, Money in the Bank might as well be WrestleMania. The Money in the Bank briefcase is on the line. We'll also see the champion take on the champion that never lost the title. We'll also see a history-making match that people thought they'd never see. For fifteen years, everyone in sports entertainment has asked what would happen if AJ Styles would take on John Cena. Cena believes the WWE is the pinnacle of sports entertainment. For whatever reason, the decision makers of WWE would tell Styles that he does not belong here. This is where he has great respect for Styles because that did not stop him. If you look around the world from PWG to Ring Of Honor to New Japan, there is one name synonymous with excellence and that is AJ Styles. Since his debut in the WWE, he has won fifteen world championships. In the same amount of time, Styles has won more than fifteen championships. Styles has been regarded as the single greatest superstar not given an opportunity by WWE. Along comes Shane McMahon and a New Era, and he is desired. Finally AJ Styles is here. At long last, the two WWE Superstars that don't have a title but are still champions will go face-to-face for the first time this Sunday. This is a history-making match and this is a history-making contract signing. Cena talked to Shane McMahon earlier and we'll do this differently tonight. Cena tells Cole to leave the ring. All we need to make history right now is AJ Styles.

Styles' music hits, and the New Orleans crowd gives him a nice round of applause as he makes his entrance. Styles gets in the ring, and the crowd begins chanting his name lightly. Styles says for the past two weeks he has turned Cena's world upside down. Speaking of the world, everyone is still talking about what he did to Cena in this ring. At Money in the Bank, he'll do it again. When that bell rings, he'll run circles around Cena telling him, "You can't see me," because he can't beat him. Styles asks where he can sign. Cena says there are two contracts. One contract guarantees a singles match against him and the other is a match that has The Club at ringside. Styles is confused. Cena says one contract says fifteen years of "What if" is answered. One contract will allow Styles to fight Cena and probably win because The Club is at ringside, but he'll be Captain of the Bitch Club. The other contract lets them go back to the electricity they had when they first got in the ring together. Cena starts a "Let's go Cena/AJ Styles" chant. Can the penultimate underdog slay the giant? Styles can sign that contract and truly answer, "What if?"

Styles chuckles and says he sees what Cena is doing here. Styles thinks Cena thinks he can't beat him. Is it because he's a fifteen-time World Champion? Maybe it's because he's won the Royal Rumble twice? Or is it because he's the face that runs this place? Styles says if he were here fifteen years ago, Cena wouldn't have been a fifteen-time World Champion nor won the Royal Rumble twice. Cena wouldn't be on magazine covers or in crappy movies. If the powers that be wouldn't have kept him out of WWE for so long, he'd have all those accolades and would be the face that runs this place.

Cena tells him to shut up. The Club isn't full of bullets – it's full of bull. Cena gave him respect, and he's come out here complaining like every other indy dude before thinking it should have and could have been them. Styles didn't do it, but he's too stupid to realize he has a chance to man up and do it now. Styles can sign the contract and prove him wrong or he can sign the contract for The Club where he'll bury himself. Styles can get on a bullet train back to Japan because he left his balls over there. Styles angrily grabs a pen and looks at both contracts. Styles then signs the contract for a straight one-on-one match against Cena without The Club at ringside. Cena then signs the contract as well. Styles says Cena will find out real quick that he isn't every other independent guy with his K-Mart shopping ass. After Money in the Bank, maybe he'll get the message that his time is up and Styles' time is now! Styles' music plays and he walks off.

Sami Zayn is backstage talking to Shane McMahon, but we can't hear what is being said. Coming up next, we'll see The Lucha Dragons take on Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio. If Owens and Del Rio lose, their spots at Money in the Bank will go to The Lucha Dragons.

Shane and Stephanie McMahon are arguing backstage about putting guest commentators out there. Shane says they should keep one-upping each other and makes Cesaro the guest ring announcer. Shane asks if she invited Corporate Kane to the show. She says that Corporate Kane would be the worst choice to run Smackdown. Shane says with Corporate Kane comes Demon Kane. Corporate Kane walks up. Shane says they're looking for someone with more stability. Corporate Kane realizes he didn't get the job. Kane then asks if it had anything to do with him hooking Shane's testicles up to a car battery. Shane says that didn't help his case. Kane walks off. Shane says Kane didn't have what it takes to run Smackdown, but neither does Stephanie. They'll continue to co-run RAW, but Shane says he's running Smackdown. Stephanie scoffs.
