“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
A video recaps the events of last week. WWE Champion Randy Orton was
targeted by former champion Drew McIntyre and “The Fiend” Bray
Wyatt.
The Raw video plays, and we go live into the WWE ThunderDome.
WWE Champion Randy Orton makes his way to the ring and poses. Orton
says eight days ago he became a 14-time world champion. Eight days
ago, he proved he is the best of the best… but that doesn’t do him
any justice. Orton isn’t the best of the best. He proved eight days
ago that he is THE best… period. He is better than Edge, The
Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, and Drew McIntyre. Orton is
better than anyone in the locker room. People think he was handed
things because he was born into the business. They think Triple H
protected him and management chose him. All those stupid Superstars
are mistaken. The reason he is in the position he’s in is because he
is the best. Eight days ago, he showed the entire world he is no
longer the Legend Killer. He is simply a legend.
With championship gold on his shoulder, it comes with great
responsibility and a big bullseye on his back. Orton dares anyone in
the locker room to come out and try to take the title from him. It
doesn’t matter if it’s Drew McIntyre, The Miz, Roman Reigns, or The
Fiend. He’s here. Come and get it.
Alexa Bliss’ music hits, and she walks out to the ring. Bliss smiles
at Orton and holds up her gloved hands to her face. One glove says,
“Play,” the other says, “Pain.” She holds up “Pain” and puts down
“Play.” She says, “He could be here!” The high pitched screaming is
heard, and Orton looks for The Fiend. Orton then turns into a
Claymore Kick from Drew McIntyre! McIntyre grabs the WWE
Championship and looks at it. McIntyre says he wants his rematch and
walks off.
The Miz and John Morrison run out to the ring. The Miz is looking to
cash in the Money in the Bank contract on Orton. McIntyre runs down
and knocks them out of the ring before the match starts. McIntyre
says no one is taking gold from Orton except him.
-Commercial Break-
Charly Caruso catches up with The Miz and John Morrison. The Miz is
furious, but says he never actually cashed it in. Drew McIntyre is a
petulant child. John Morrison challenges McIntyre to a 2-on-1
Handicap Match tonight.
“Ladies and gentlemen… Elias.”
Elias strums a chord and greets the crowd. There comes a time in
every man’s life when he has to speak the truth to himself. That
happened a few months ago when Jeff Hardy tried to run him over
after realizing Elias’ career is better. Elias’ album is #1 on the
charts. Now he has to take one of his beautiful guitars and smash it
on Hardy’s back. Elias goes to play a song off his new album, but
Hardy interrupts.
Replays are shown of Jeff Hardy and Elias hitting each other with
guitars last week.
Guitar on a Pole Match
Elias vs. Jeff Hardy
The bell rings, and Hardy charges for the corner to get the guitar
on the pole. Elias pulls him back. Elias applies a side headlock,
but Hardy whips him off. Elias shoulder blocks him down and hits a
scary body slam. Hardy slides into the bottom rope and hits it hard
with his chin. Hardy pulls Elias out of the ring and hits a flying
body attack by jumping off the steel steps. Hardy starts to climb
the turnbuckle for the guitar, but Elias throws his musicians stool
at him!
-Commercial Break-

feet. Elias cuts Hardy off from getting to the corner, but Hardy
hits a twisting mule kick. They’re both down for a moment before
Elias attacks him from behind. Elias chokes him on the ropes and
talks some trash. Elias then floors him with a high knee to the
face. Elias climbs the turnbuckle for the guitar, but Hardy pulls
him down.
Hardy punches back at Elias before taking him down, hitting an
inverted atomic drop, sweeping the feet, hitting a double leg drop
to the midsection, a low dropkick, and an elbow drop. Hardy climbs
for the guitar, but Elias stops him and puts him in the electric
chair. Hardy counters into a hurricanrana before connecting with a
Twist of Fate. Hardy takes his shirt off and climbs the turnbuckle.
Hardy grabs the guitar off the pole and kicks Elias back. Hardy then
jumps off the top rope and smashes the guitar off Elias’ back. Hardy
covers him for the win.

WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth makes his way to the ring. He thinks he’s

dismayed to find out he’s facing WWE United States Champion Bobby
Lashley.
WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth vs. WWE United States Champion Bobby
Lashley
R-Truth lays down for Lashley and doesn’t think anyone should get
hurt in a champion vs. champion match. Lashley grabs him, but
R-Truth kicks him in the face. R-Truth punches him back and hits the
ropes, but Lashley also hits the ropes and turns him inside out with
a Spear. Lashley applies the Hurt Lock for the win.
Winner by Submission: WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley
Drew Gulak runs out to pin R-Truth, but Lashley slams him and puts
him to sleep with the Hurt Lock. Lashley then puts the unconscious
Gulak on top of R-Truth. Gulak is the 24/7 Champion.

Gulak, but they run into Jordan Omogbehin, AJ Styles’ tall
bodyguard. Styles asks if they have a problem, and they cower away.
We’ll hear from Styles, next.

Nia Jax is walking backstage when Sarah Schreiber stops her. She
asks about Lana, but Jax tells her not to mention her name in her
presence. By the end of the night, Lana will be off Team Raw.
Actually, she’ll end her career.
AJ Styles makes his way to the ring with Jordan Omogbehin. This past
Friday Night, we learned that SmackDown isn’t playing around at
Survivor Series. They’ve got Kevin Owens and Jey Uso. The next three
will be just as talented, but Raw has the advantage. What advantage?
In Styles’ opinion, SmackDown lacks someone with the intangibles to
be a leader. Someone with the “IT” factor and can mold people to
dominate. Someone like him. Styles shouts, “Captain Styles reporting
for duty!” Styles says he has intangibles for days. His intangibles
have intangibles. Why wouldn’t you want a captain of the best of the
best to be the very best?
For his first order as Team Captain of Raw, he’ll get the rally cry
going to boost morale. Styles introduces his team starting with
Sheamus. Styles next introduces Keith Lee. They both come to the
ring. Styles says they are the best of the best. Their success is
his success. Styles doesn’t care who they have to go through on Team
SmackDown. It doesn’t matter if it’s Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Rey
Mysterio, Dominik, or Angie… Lee cuts him off. Neither of them
agreed to call Styles the captain. If Styles thinks his sizable
friend is enough to intimidate him into it, he should think twice.
Styles says to Sheamus that Lee’s inexperience is talking. Styles
tells Sheamus to show Lee how it is. Sheamus says he agrees with the
big fella. Sheamus has been here for a long time, but he’ll never
call Styles captain.
Styles asks if they realize what it would mean to his career if they
beat SmackDown. Braun Strowman comes out and says all Team Raw needs
is his hands. Lee tells Strowman he’ll have to qualify just like
them. Strowman says he has eliminated the most talent in a Survivor
Series match and won. Two weeks ago, he also beat Lee clean in the
ring. Not only is he qualified, his qualifications should have him
be the team captain. Styles takes exception with that.
WWE Official Adam Pearce comes out to the stage and says no one is
willing to face Strowman. Lee says he can’t let what he just said
slide. Strowman did not beat him clean. Sheamus steps up and wants
to face Strowman. Styles suggests a triple threat match. Pearce
makes it official.
-Commercial Break-
AJ Styles will be on commentary for the next match.

the ring. Sheamus attacks Lee, but Lee takes him down. Lee sends
Sheamus into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick.
Strowman pulls Sheamus out of the ring and brawls with him. Lee hits
a somersault senton on him, but his head and neck hit the apron on
the way down!
Lee brawls around ringside with Sheamus. Strowman then charges and
wipes them both out with shoulder blocks. Strowman clears the
commentary table and goes to chokeslam both through the table, but
they fight out. They then send Strowman into the steel steps.
Sheamus and Lee grabs the steps and drive them into Strowman!
Sheamus sends Lee into the ring post and rolls him into the ring.
Lee rolls to the apron, so Sheamus fires up the 10 Beats of the
Bodhrán. Those were some stiff shots. Lee falls to ringside, but he
pulls Sheamus out and press slams him into the barricade. Lee clubs
Sheamus and lifts him, but Sheamus counters into a sleeper hold.
Strowman then hits a running cross-body to send them all through the
barricade.

hits Sheamus with another avalanche and throws him. Strowman goes
for it again, but Sheamus sidesteps him and hits White Noise for a
near fall. Sheamus goes to the top rope, but Lee grabs him by the
throat. Sheamus punches Lee off and rakes the eyes. Strowman then
lights up Sheamus with a right hand. Strowman goes for a superplex,
but Lee runs over and hits an electric chair drop on Strowman as
well. It’s the old Tower of Doom spot.

him back. Lee hits a running cross-body block on Strowman for a near
fall. Lee lifts Strowman, but Strowman slides off. Sheamus pulls the

the ring and hits Lee with a Brogue Kick. Strowman then grabs

with a Brogue Kick. Lee then Pounces Sheamus out of the ring.
Finally, Styles kicks Lee in the head to knock him out of the ring.
