“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video recaps the epic Hell in a Cell confrontation between Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Cody Rhodes, who performed with a completely torn right pectoral tendon. In an all-time great performance, Rhodes defeated Rollins.

We go live into the arena. The Judgment Day will welcome a new member later tonight. We’ll also see Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, Doudrop, and Alexa Bliss will also battle in a Fatal 4-Way to determine Bianca Belair’s next challenger. The Street Profits will also battle Undisputed Tag Team Champions The Usos in a Championship Contenders’ Match.

Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring to a huge ovation. Rhodes can barely move his right arm but is all smiles as he makes his way to the ring. Rhodes says, “Welcome to Monday Night Raw!” A “Thank you, Cody” chant picks up. Rhodes says those chants fill his heart, as well as the comments on social media. They have reverence for what he did, but he doesn’t believe in that. Simply put, it’s a privilege to do what he does.

Rhodes admits that tearing his pectoral tendon off the bone is demoralizing, but he doesn’t want to be sad or downtrodden. They’ve talked about the Rhodes’ before, but there’s one they haven’t met yet: his daughter. Rhodes is getting choked up. When she’s old enough, he wants her to watch what happened last night. He wants her to know that in the darkest time of his life in a literal hell, he was not down or jaded. He stood and fought. A “Cody” chant picks up. Rhodes fought against one of the very best WWE Superstars of all-time, Seth “Freakin” Rollins. The chapter and trilogy have been written and are closed. Rhodes is officially done with Seth Rollins.

Rhodes wants to talk about what’s above him. The camera shows two Money in the Bank contracts hanging above the ring. That Money in the Bank contract has eluded him throughout his career. Rhodes is banged up right now, but in four weeks’ time, if he was somehow able to climb up and grab the contract, he could become the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion. A loud “Cody” chant fires up.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ music hits, and the Visionary makes his way to the ring in one of his outlandish suits. Rollins is limping and not smiling like he normally does. Rollins says he still doesn’t like Rhodes, but after what he put himself through last night he has earned his respect. It could be one of the gutsiest performances in this industry’s history. Rollins says Rhodes is one of the toughest people he’s ever been in the ring with. Rollins knows he’s the last person Rhodes wants to hear from, but Dusty is very proud of his baby boy right now. Rhodes is trying to hold back all of his emotion, as the crowd chants, “Cody.” Rollins says Rhodes showed him respect the night after WrestleMania. Rollins is here to return the favor. Rollins extends his left hand, and Cody shakes it with his good arm. Rollins then limps off.

Cody Rhodes claps for the fans and poses one last time. The commentators talk about the injury and how Rhodes left himself open to still come out for Money in the Bank. Rhodes goes up the ramp… and all of a sudden, Rollins attacks him from behind with a sledgehammer! Rollins rips off Rhodes’ suit and stomps the torn pec. Rollins digs the sledgehammer into the injury before WWE officials pull him off. The crowd is livid.

Riddle interrupts them. Riddle speaks horrible French to Maryse. She responds in proper French, and Riddle says, “Gesundheit.” Riddle then gives a shoutout to his best bro Randy Orton. Riddle says he hopes Orton comes back soon, unlike his stepdad. Miz says Orton’s career is over. Riddle tells Miz to shut up. Riddle says he wants to fight that Tribal piece of trash Roman Reigns and take his titles. Riddle says there’s a reason why he’s playing peacemaker and Miz’s wife pulls him around by his tiny balls. The crowd chants, “Tiny balls.” Maryse says her husband has average balls. Miz is not happy, so she says they’re above average – no, they’re gigantic. Riddle says to prove it. It felt damn good to put MVP in the Hurt Lock. Now that he has MVP and Omos in his rearview mirror, Lashley was thinking about what is next.

WWE United States Champion Theory comes out. Theory doesn’t know what authority allowed Lashley to come out and steal his spotlight, but this is his time. Theory deserves the spotlight, not Lashley. Lashley says if Theory is so confident he can beat him, he can put the United States Title on the line. Theory says Lashley doesn’t deserve a title match.
