EMOTIONAL OVERLOAD
On SmackDown!, it was announced that the mother of WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero –
who suffered a mild heart attack during an altercation with John Bradshaw
Layfield at a SmackDown! Live Event only four days earlier – was home from the
hospital in guarded condition, but the good news concerning his mother did not
alleviate the pain Guerrero is suffering.
When JBL accused the Guerrero family matriarch of faking the heart attack as
part of the “lying, cheating and stealing” that Eddie is renowned for, the WWE
Champion lost his temper and took his anger out on everybody he could find.
Seconds after Rob Van Dam & Rey Mysterio defeated the Dudley Boyz, there was
mass chaos in the ring. With a crazed look on his face, Guerrero showed the
world exactly how angry he was. He flattened both Dudleys, two referees and
close friend RVD with a chair, and clearly was willing to do the same to anybody
else who crossed his path.
Fortunately for JBL, the No. 1 Contender was in New York and Guerrero will have
to wait another day to exact his revenge. That day could be next week in Reno,
Nevada when JBL promised he would return. On the final SmackDown! before their
clash at Judgment Day, will Guerrero be able to contain his emotions, or is an
early altercation with JBL imminent? Find out next week.
Also on SmackDown!, if the week’s events were not bad enough for the Guerrero
family already, Chavo Guerrero had a terrible evening as well. One week after
challenging any cruiserweight he has never faced before, Guerrero received his
match against an unlikely opponent. WWE Diva Jacqueline returned to the ring,
and despite the mocking of both Chavo Guerrero and Chavo Classic, Jacqueline
scored the stunning upset to win the Cruiserweight Championship in what can be
considered the upset of the year. How will this affect the usually cocky
Guerrero? Stay tuned to find out.
SmackDown! also featured a very special appearance by the Undertaker, who saw
his first action since WrestleMania, at the order of Mr. Angle. Not only did
‘Taker have a match, but it was a Handicap Match against the FBI. If ‘Taker’s
Handicap Match is a sign of things to come, Booker T could be in for a rough
evening at Judgment Day as the Dead Man simply decimated the FBI, giving Nunzio
a Last Ride and Johnny Stamboli a Tombstone Piledriver. Booker T spent SmackDown!
looking for any edge he could gain over the Undertaker for their upcoming match.
Can he find it next week? Watch SmackDown! to find out.
Speaking of Judgment Day, Rene Dupree has been the butt of many John Cena jokes
leading up to their match for the United States Championship at the
pay-per-view. But on SmackDown!, Dupree proved that he is no longer in a
laughing mood. After Cena came to the ring to defend Torrie Wilson, Dupree
unleashed one of the most savage beatings Cena has ever suffered – a beating
that included Cena being crashed through the announce table. Will Cena be able
to recover in time for Judgment Day?
The final SmackDown! before Judgment Day comes to you next week from Reno,
Nevada next week at 8/7 PM CT on UPN.
