JBL GUARANTEES VICTORY
Only 72 hours before Judgment Day, John Bradshaw Layfield raised the bar even
higher. On SmackDown!, Layfield not only gained another advantage on WWE
Champion Eddie Guerrero by having Guerrero arrested for an attack on JBL’s limo,
but Layfield took a step that very few athletes ever take, a step that creates
legends in competition … JBL guaranteed victory.
Moments after handily defeating Rey Mysterio, JBL proclaimed that winning the
WWE Championship was his destiny, and that at Judgment Day he will win the WWE
Championship. It was not just a statement of confidence … it was a guarantee.
With Guerrero still distraught, and seemingly unable to control his emotions is
JBL in the driver’s seat going into Judgment Day? Watch Judgment Day this Sunday
on pay-per-view to find out.
Judgment Day was a hot topic on SmackDown!, as several matches were added to the
pay-per-view event that will take place live from the sold-out STAPLES Center in
Los Angeles this Sunday. On SmackDown!, it was clear that tensions between Rob
Van Dam and the Dudley Boyz are still simmering after the Dudleys attempted to
assault RVD once again after D-Von defeated Van Dam. Only this time, Rey
Mysterio came to the ring to aid RVD and forced the Dudleys out of the ring. As
a result, it will be RVD & Rey Mysterio facing the Dudleys at Judgment Day.
Also at Judgment Day, in a rematch of last week’s Cruiserweight Championship
Match that saw Jacqueline pull off a shocking upset over Chavo Guerrero, the two
will meet again for the title, but this time with a twist. Guerrero interrupted
an interview with Jacqueline, and declared that he is not only the better
competitor, but he can beat Jacqueline with one arm tied behind his back. At
Judgment Day, Guerrero will have the chance to prove just that when his arm is
tied behind his back for the match.
On SmackDown! it was also announced that Charlie Haas & Rico will defend the WWE
Tag Team Championship against Billy Gunn & Hardcore Holly at Judgment Day. Also,
Mordecai will be in the ring for the first time at the pay-per-view event.
Next week, SmackDown! emanates from Las Vegas. Did Bradshaw live up to his
promise of defeating Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Championship? Will a Frenchman
leave Judgment Day as the United States Champion? Watch Judgment Day on
pay-per-view to find out. Then watch SmackDown! next week at 8/7 PM CT on UPN
for the fallout.
