ONE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

Take notice, Eric Bischoff. Your counterpart on SmackDown! is dropping bombshells.

In what was literally and figuratively huge news, Theodore Long announced to the crowd in Hamilton, Ontario, that he had rehired the force known as Big Show. As if that wasn’t enough, we also learned that Tough Enough will return on SmackDown! and UPN with the winner claiming a cool $1 million.

In contrast, Latino Heat Eddie Guerrero was hot and bothered after Kurt Angle gave his lowrider a new paint job. The Olympic Champion left his tag match with Luther Reigns to retrieve two cans of white paint, which he used to soil Guerrero’s prized vehicle.

Meanwhile, Angle’s bodyguard-turned-partner got the worst of a match made by GM Long. First, Rey Mysterio hit a 619, which bounced Reigns into a perfect position to suffer a frog splash from Eddie. That got the three-count, but Guerrero’s wheels took a beating, too.

Earlier, a HALO brace-wearing JBL lamented the treatment he got from Undertaker at SummerSlam. While reliving his trip through a limo roof at the Deadman’s hands, the infamous bell tolled. The WWE Champion and Chief-of-Staff Orlando Jordan exited through the crowd before the Undertaker could even make his way to the ring area.

Rob Van Dam may wish he had made a quick exit following his win over rival Rene Dupree. While still recovering from the impact of hitting a Five-Star Frog Splash, Kenzo Suzuki attacked. The Bronze Warrior picked apart what was left of Mr. Thursday Night after an exhausting bout with Dupree.

John Cena also suffered a sneak attack from the Dudleys, who were led by an arrogant, bossy and confident Cruiserweight Champion. As a result, Cena got a match with D-Von, winning with the FU.

There’s already a great deal to anticipate for SmackDown! next week. Paul Heyman’s latest protégé, Heidenreich, will debut. Also, Cena will face United States Champion Booker T in Match No. 2 of their best-of-five series. Cena leads 1-0 after scoring the opening pinfall at SummerSlam.
