“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video kicks off the show that highlights the in-ring promo between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan on RAW. Orton insinuated that Bryan’s fiancé would regret being with him, causing Bryan to snap. Orton wound up getting the better of Bryan, and he gave him a hanging DDT off the ring apron right in front of Brie Bella. Orton then gave him an RKO through the commentary table.

The Smackdown video plays, and Michael Cole welcomes everyone to the show. Big Show’s music hits, and he comes out to a nice reception from the crowd. Big Show gets in the ring, and he says he’s been ashamed of himself lately. He’s done some really bad things to some really good people. A video then airs of Big Show knocking out Daniel Bryan, The Miz, and Dusty Rhodes. Big Show says he did those things because he had no alternative. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are holding his job over his head. When you’re a giant, there aren’t a lot of job opportunities out there. The crowd can’t understand what it’s like to be forced to do things you hate to do. Some have been in a similar situation in their jobs where they have to do things so they don’t get fired. He deserves to get booed, but he’s only tried to do the best for his family. These things have made him a crazy lunatic, but he can’t ask for forgiveness since what he’s done is unforgivable. Big Show just asks for a little understanding. If Stephanie McMahon called your wife and had her say that you’re not the man you used to be, understand how that would make you feel. It makes you question whether you’re still a man.

Big Show says he’s at his wit’s end, and he doesn’t know what he’s going to do. He has all this anger and frustration built up inside of him. He went so far as to threaten to knock out the COO of WWE Triple H. However, we all know that if he knocked Triple H out, he would have been fired right on the spot. Maybe it would have been for the best, but right now he finds himself in a situation because of that threat where he has to face The Shield in a 3-on-1-handicap match tonight. All the rage and frustration he’s had for the last few weeks is going to be turned loose on The Shield. The Shield won’t just be in the ring with a giant. They will be in the ring with a borderline lunatic giant. If he’s going down, he’s taking The Shield with him.

Triple H’s music hits, and the WWE COO makes his way out to the stage. Triple H says he’s ashamed of Big Show. He’s ashamed of the man he’s become, and he’s ashamed that as a locker room leader that he would question his authority in front of everyone. As far as his pent up anger goes, that on Big Show. His personal problems, financial problems, and marital problems are on Big Show. The fact that he can’t pay his mortgage and the bank will repossess his house is on Big Show. Yet here he is because he’s considered Big Show a friend for the last twenty years. He went out of his way to help Big Show, and now Big Show no longer owes a dime to the bank. Triple H takes out a document from his jacket pocket. Triple H says Big Show no longer owes the bank; he owes him. Triple H doesn’t want Big Show to lose his house and have his family on the street, and he doesn’t want Big Show to lose his job. How does Big Show show appreciation? He threatens to knock Triple H out. Now Big Show’s problems are his problems, and his patience is wearing thin. Triple H warns Big Show to get his emotions in check or Big Show won’t be living in his house – he will.

As far as tonight goes, he and his wife are simply offering Big Show an opportunity. That’s the American way. However, after Big Show just described himself as a borderline lunatic giant, it doesn’t seem fair of him to needlessly stick The Shield in harm’s way. Triple H says he’s changing the main event. Now Big Show will face Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and their partner, the face of the WWE, Randy Orton. Four men against as borderline lunatic giant – that seems fair. Triple H says as far as Big Show’s personal threat goes, no harm done. They’re cool. Triple H holds up the deed to Big Show’s house, and he goes to the back.

Rob Van Dam is walking backstage with Ricardo Rodriguez. Their shirts have pink highlights in support of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. RVD will be in action, next.

-Commercial Break-

As Fandango makes his way to the ring, Michael Cole goes over all the great things WWE is doing to raise awareness for breast cancer by showing the pink middle rope and the sign for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation on the ramp.

Ricardo Rodriguez does the introduction for Rob Van Dam where he calls him, “Mr. Friday Night.”

Fandango w/ Summer Rae vs. Rob Van Dam w/ Ricardo Rodriguez

The crowd starts an “RVD” chant, and he acknowledges them. Fandango does a little dance to taunt RVD, but RVD does his signature R-V-D taunt. Fandango goes to kick him, but RVD blocks it. Fandango quickly punches him and takes him down with a back elbow. Fandango punches him in the corner, but RVD soon turns him around and kicks him down. RVD sends him to the corner, and RVD hits his rolling monkey flip. RVD sends him to the ropes, but Fandango holds on to the ropes. RVD charges, but Fandango gives him a back body drop to the apron. Fandango quickly punches him and elbows him off the apron. RVD flies into the barricade.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see RVD sent to the corner. Fandango then charges into a boot, and RVD quickly follows up with a springboard kick from the second rope. RVD hits a pair of clotheslines followed up by a spin kick. RVD hits the Rolling Thunder, and he does his R-V-D taunt. RVD goes to the top rope, and Summer Rae jumps up on the apron to crotch him on the top rope. The referee sees this, and he calls for the bell.

Winner by Disqualification: Rob Van Dam

Fandango quickly continues the assault on RVD with some punches and a falcon arrow. Fandango rolls out of the ring, and he looks under the ring for a weapon, but he can’t find one. Rodriguez distracts him, and RVD catches Fandango with a baseball slide. RVD throws him into the ring, and the crowd starts an “ECW” chant. RVD then slingshots over the top rope with a snap DDT. RVD goes under the ring, and he throws a garbage can into the ring. Fandango is sitting in the corner, and RVD has Rodriguez hold the garbage can up to Fandango’s face. RVD goes to the opposite corner, and he crushes Fandango with the Van Terminator!

Big Show will face The Shield and Randy Orton in a 4-on-1 Handicap Match later tonight.

-Commercial Break-

Alberto Del Rio will face Dolph Ziggler later tonight.

Ryback w/ Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel vs. R-Truth

They lock up, and Ryback quickly powers him to the corner. Ryback calls R-Truth a bully, and R-Truth slaps him. Ryback responds by slamming him into the corner and hitting a shoulder thrust. R-Truth gets a knee up before he can deliver another shoulder thrust, and he kicks and punches Ryback out of the ring. Ryback rolls out of the ring to recover, and Heyman tells Ryback that R-Truth is bullying him. Ryback sweeps R-Truth’s legs before getting back in the ring. Ryback kicks him in the ribs and stomps the back while calling R-Truth a bully. Ryback military presses him, but R-Truth is able to wiggle off and land on his feet. R-Truth punches him before ducking a clothesline and delivering an uppercut. R-Truth then takes him down to his knees with a jumping calf kick. R-Truth floors him with a missile dropkick for a two count. Ryback quickly avoids a Scissor Kick and hits a meat hook clothesline. Ryback says that R-Truth tried to bully him before hitting him with the Shell Shocked for the win.

Ryback begins to walk up the ramp with Paul Heyman when they turn around and notice Curtis Axel in the ring. Axel clubs R-Truth in the back of the head before holding up his WWE Intercontinental Championship to his face. Axel reminds R-Truth of who he is before leaving the ring to join Heyman and Ryback on the ramp.

Renee Young is backstage with Alberto Del Rio. She asks if he saw what RVD did to Fandango earlier in the evening. Del Rio says he did. RVD used a trashcan, which is exactly what he’ll use. After he beats RVD, he’ll put him inside the garbage can and send him back to the garbage dump where he belongs. She asks about Dolph Ziggler potentially slowing his momentum tonight. Del Rio goes to answer, but a producer interrupts him holding the damaged garbage can from earlier tonight. The producer says it’s a gift from Rob Van Dam. Del Rio throws the garbage can down before walking off. He’ll face Dolph Ziggler, next.

-Commercial Break-

As Alberto Del Rio comes out to the ring, a video airs that highlights Rob Van Dam’s top ten most hardcore moments. Damien Sandow is on commentary for the next match.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler

They circle the ring, and Ziggler quickly rolls him up for a one count. Del Rio gets to his feet and goes for a clothesline, but Ziggler ducks it and rolls him up against for a one count. Del Rio quickly kicks him in the midsection and clubs him in the head. Ziggler gets out of a body slam and rolls him up a third time, but Del Rio kicks out and rolls out of the ring. Del Rio paces outside before getting back in the ring. Del Rio quickly takes Ziggler down and head-butts him a few times. Del Rio sends him to the ropes, but he misses a clothesline. Del Rio tries to bounce back with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, but Ziggler lands on his feet. Ziggler then connects with a dropkick that sends Del Rio out of the ring. Michael Cole challenges Damien Sandow to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase as we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Ziggler fighting out of a chin lock. Del Rio then takes him down by the hair before he can do anything. Del Rio kicks him in the shoulder before picking up a two count. During the commercial, Del Rio whipped him into the turnbuckle so hard that he flipped out of the ring. He also threw him shoulder first into the barricade. Back on live action, Del Rio has Ziggler in a chin lock again. Ziggler fights up and gets a sunset flip for a one count. Ziggler quickly pops up and hits a dropkick. Del Rio is in the corner, and Ziggler charges, but Del Rio moves. Ziggler hits the ring post shoulder first. Del Rio picks him up by the hair before executing a back suplex for a near fall. Del Rio then goes back to the chin lock. Ziggler fights up and punches, but Del Rio stops the momentum with some head-butts. Del Rio charges him in the corner, but Ziggler drops him on to the apron. Del Rio gets on the bottom rope to grab the hair, but Ziggler dropkicks him to the floor. Del Rio hit with a thud!

Del Rio snaps Ziggler off the top rope before climbing to the top. Ziggler then pops up and catches him with a super sit-out face-buster! They both get to their feet at the same time and trade punches. Del Rio kicks him in the midsection, but he has a whip to the corner reversed on him. Ziggler then begins punching wildly at him in the corner before hitting a neckbreaker. Ziggler quickly follows up with a leaping clothesline. Ziggler goes for a famouser, but Del Rio sidesteps it. Del Rio then catches him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a near fall. Del Rio then kicks him in the back. Del Rio goes to the top rope and leaps into a dropkick delivered by Ziggler for a near fall! Ziggler picks Del Rio up, and Del Rio catches him with a double-knee arm breaker. Del Rio quickly follows up with a step-up enzuigiri for a near fall. Del Rio sets him up on the top rope and goes for a superplex, but Ziggler counters into a sunset flip powerbomb for a near fall!

Ziggler ducks a clothesline, and he quickly jumps on his back with a sleeper hold. Del Rio begins to stumble before getting a burst of energy to shove Ziggler to the corner. Del Rio double stomps the back off the second rope before going for a kick to the head, but Ziggler counters with a rollup for a near fall. Del Rio then sidesteps an avalanche and kicks him in the head for a near fall! Del Rio cannot believe it. Del Rio goes for the Cross Arm Breaker, but Ziggler gets out of it. Ziggler goes for a DDT, but Del Rio counters into another Cross Arm Breaker attempt, but Ziggler rolls through it. Ziggler then connects with the famouser for a near fall! Del Rio pulls himself up on the ropes and holds on to counter a Zig-Zag. Del Rio quickly connects with a flapjack and applies the Cross Arm Breaker for the win!

Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal vs. Los Matadores w/ El Torito

Before the match begins, Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal talk about how it’s unfair that Los Matadores brought a bull with them to ringside. Slater says they’re bringing a cage with them for tonight’s rematch.

Slater will start the match off against Diego. Diego wrenches the arm before hitting a snapmare. Diego connects with an arm drag before hitting a delayed head-scissor takeover. Slater quickly comes back with some punches, and Mahal is tagged in. Diego sweeps Mahal’s legs and chops the chest before tagging in Fernando. They send Mahal into the ropes for a double-team back body drop. Mahal sends Fernando to the corner, but he slingshots over him. Fernando then hits a standing hurricanrana. Fernando takes him down and grabs the legs before tagging in Diego. Fernando hits a slingshot backbreaker, and Diego follows up with a slingshot body splash. The referee backs Diego off as Mahal recovers, and Mahal gets a cheap shot. Slater is tagged in, and he kicks Diego down. Slater applies a chin lock, but Diego fights out and does a handstand in the corner. Slater charges into a head-scissor takeover.

Fernando and Mahal are tagged in. Fernando hits a pair of flying forearms before knocking Slater off the apron. Fernando sidesteps Mahal and hits a swinging neckbreaker. Fernando hits a diving chop to the head as Diego tags in. They then hit a modified double-team back suplex for the win.

Winners by Pinfall: Los Matadores

After the match, Slater and Mahal try to blindside them, but they deliver stereo back body drops to the outside. El Torito then springboards off two ropes with a plancha to the two of them!

Renee Young is backstage with Paul Heyman, Curtis Axel, and Ryback. She asks about Heyman’s clients’ chances heading into Battleground. Heyman says Curtis Axel’s opponent believes that he is the truth, but his dream of winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship is nothing short of fiction. His opponent should take solace in the fact that his name is not CM Punk. This Sunday, CM Punk will suffer a hero’s fate. He will go down in a blaze of glory. Punk will fight against the impossible odds of facing a bigger, stronger, meaner, and far more twisted individual than CM Punk could ever dream of being. Punk will be deterred against ever trying to face him again. Punk will be Shell Shocked, and he will be flat on his back looking up at his big, bad, beautiful Ryback and himself, Punk’s lord, master, and owner – the Best in the World!

Aksana vs. Brie Bella

They lock up, and Aksana backs her against the ropes. Brie blocks a kick and hits a running clothesline for a one count. Aksana reverses a whip, but Brie comes right back with a dropkick. Brie hits a running knee to the face, and Aksana falls out of the ring. Brie throws her back in, and Aksana pulls her into the ropes. Aksana kicks her and drops some elbows for a one count. Aksana applies a modified chin lock, but Brie fights up. Aksana takes her down and begins crawling around her. Aksana punches her for a two count. Aksana taunts the crowd, and Brie begins to fight back. Aksana shoulders her in the corner, and Brie takes her down with a diving face-buster.

AJ Lee’s music hits, and the WWE Divas Champion comes out to the stage with Tamina, her protector. AJ says she feels inspired. AJ says she has something special in store for her. At Battleground, she’s going to do to her what Randy Orton did to her tin can chewing fiancé on RAW. Then they can disappear and have a baby, the first baby with a goat-faced beard. When the doctor sees the atrocity, he won’t spank the baby. He’ll spank her. AJ’s music hits, and she skips away.

Big Show will take on The Shield and Randy Orton in tonight’s main event in a 4-on-1 Handicap match.

Big E Langston vs. Kofi Kingston

Charles Robinson, my favorite referee ever, is the official for this match. The bell rings, and Langston immediately clubs Kingston down to the canvas. Langston hits a belly-to-belly side suplex before hitting a big splash for a near fall. Langston shoves him to the corner and runs into some boots. Kingston then catches him charging with a pendulum kick. Kingston goes for a cross-body block, but Langston catches him. Langston goes for a slam, but Kingston counters into a rollup for the win.

“We’re here.”

Bray Wyatt makes his way out to the stage with his lantern. Kingston meets him halfway up the ramp, ready to fight. A light comes on behind him, and it shines on Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Wyatt says Kingston is a shining example of a decaying generation. The laws have failed him. On this Sabbath, the first will fall. Follow the buzzards! Wyatt laughs as we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

Smackdown General Manager Vickie Guerrero officially booked Kofi Kingston versus Bray Wyatt for WWE Battleground.

The RAW Rebound shows the summit the Rhodes Family had with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Cody Rhodes and Goldust will face The Shield at Battleground with Dusty Rhodes’ and their jobs on the line.

All the competitors in the main event make their way to the ring. The main event is next.

4-on-1 Handicap Match
The Shield and Randy Orton vs. Big Show

Big Show will start the match against Dean Ambrose. Big Show powers him to the corner and hits some body shots. Big Show chops the chest before head-butting him down. Big Show body slams him down before hitting another head-butt. Seth Rollins is tagged in, and Rollins tries to circle around him. Big Show simply tosses him to the corner, hits some body shots and a head-butt. Big Show then stands on him. Big Show lifts him up with one arm and throws him down. Roman Reigns tags himself in, and he stands off against Big Show. Reigns goes for a shoulder block, but Big Show takes him down instead. Randy Orton is tagged in, and the face of the WWE circles around Big Show before kicking him in the midsection a few times. Big Show kicks and head-butts him before chopping the chest in the corner. Big Show shushes the crowd before chopping the chest again. Big Show then knocks Ambrose off the apron. Orton quickly kicks him and tags in Rollins, who comes off the top rope with a flying knee for a one count.

Rollins boots Big Show down a few times and covers for a two count. Reigns tags in to get some shots before tagging Orton back in. Orton kicks away at Big Show before dropping a big knee across his face for a two count. Big Show grabs him by the throat, but Orton counters the chokeslam into a DDT for a near fall. Reigns tags in, and he applies a chin lock to Big Show. Big Show soon fights up and gets out of the hold with a back suplex.

Big show hits a pair of clotheslines before sending him to the corner hard. Big Show hits a running butt bump followed by a spear. Big Show signals for his chokeslam, and the other guys charge the ring. Big Show clotheslines them all down before Rollins dropkicks him in the knee. They all team up on him, but Big Show explodes, pushing them all off. Big Show takes them down, and he punches a chair into Dean Ambrose’s face, causing a disqualification.

Winner by Disqualification: Big Show

Big Show catches Rollins jumping off the top rope. Orton cracks him in the back with a chair, but it doesn’t hurt Big Show. Big Show grabs him by the throat and goes for a double chokeslam, but Reigns spears him down. Orton tells The Shield to pick Big Show up. Orton yells “NO!” a few times before dropping Big Show with an RKO. Orton puts a chair around Big Show’s head, and the Usos run down to stop this. They take out the remaining members of The Shield. Orton still puts the chair around Big Show’s head, so Daniel Bryan runs down and kicks and punches away at Orton! The crowd goes wild for him! Bryan puts him in the corner and kicks away at him like a madman. Bryan takes him down and applies the Yes! Lock, but Ambrose soon breaks it up. Orton escapes the ring as Bryan kicks Ambrose in the head. Bryan gets a “YES!” chant started before crashing into Ambrose with his powerful running knee to the face! Bryan leads the crowd in a big “YES!” chant to end the show!
