The Shield tonight.
Renee Young interviews the WWE Champion, Randy Orton
Renee Young is in the ring, and she introduces the WWE Champion, Randy Orton, to
the ring. Orton comes out to a chorus of boos from the fans. Young says there
was quite a bit of controversy from this past Sunday at Survivor Series when the
Big Show knocked him out. The only thing left for the Big Show to do was put him
in the ring and cover him for the pin. When Big Show put him in the ring, the
Authority came out. Some say it was a distraction, and some say it was just to
observe. Regardless, it gave Orton time to recover, RKO, and then punt the Big
Show for the win. Orton says he begs to differ with Renee on a number of things.
He wasn’t knocked out. He’s got an iron jaw. Orton says he was playing possum,
which is strategy. He didn’t need an appearance from the Authority to get a
victory over Big Show. If anything, that appearance by the Authority tainted his
inevitable victory.
Renee goes on to say that there was another controversy surrounding him and the
Authority when John Cena showed up. A clip is then shown of Cena challenging
Orton to a match with both the WWE Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight
Championship on the line. Renee says the Authority accepted the challenge. It’ll
be a Champion vs. Champion match in a TLC match. Renee asks how that made him
feel. Did he feel betrayed or abandoned? Did he feel challenged or threatened?
Orton just stands there and says nothing. Renee holds the microphone closer to
his face, but he instead turns and leaves the ring.
Backstage, a huge spread of all the traditional Thanksgiving trimmings are shown
on a large table. There is, of course, a turkey, a pumpkin pie, and a ham, among
other things. Vickie Guerrero is leading the party. She excuses herself. The
Gobbledy Gooker is in the background along with a bunch of the usual WWE under-
to mid-card talents, including Damien Sandow, Tyson Kidd, and Zack Ryder. Vickie
welcomes them to her “Thanksgiving Leftover Party.” She hopes everyone is having
a good time. However, unlike previous WWE parties, this is not going to
breakdown into mayhem. They are going to have competition, though. They are
going to have a food-eating contest. That announcement is met with cheers. Titus
O’Neil will face off against The Great Khali in this contest. Vickie then calls
for the competition to begin. Khali and O’Neil begin to stuff their faces to the
cheers of their fellow sports entertainers.

next.

applies a chin lock. Henry soon fights up, and he head-butts out. Henry then big
boots him down. Henry hits some more head-butts before doing some JYD inspired
head-butts on the mat.

the ring to intimidate Axel. Axel turns to leave, but Langston is right behind
him. Langston turns and avalanches Ryback down as he tries to attack him from
behind. Axel tries to punch Henry, but Henry blocks it with one hand. Henry
throws him into the ring, and he avalanches Axel down. Henry then hits him with
the World’s Strongest Slam for the win.

Renee Young is backstage with CM Punk. She asks for Punk’s reaction from Monday
Night RAW. The Shield attacked Punk and Daniel Bryan during their match against
The Wyatt Family. Punk says he hasn’t heard from Bryan since the Wyatts carted
him off. Punk says he has severely bruised ribs due to Roman Reigns’ spear. Punk
says he has no idea why The Shield attacked him in the first place. Maybe they
don’t like him, or maybe they were acting out orders from somebody with
“Authority.” Punk doesn’t know, but he’ll get to the bottom of it. When he does,
it will be The Shield who needs protection.
Cody Rhodes and Goldust will defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against Seth
Rollins and Roman Reigns later tonight.

knows what it feels like to be thrown in some groveling pit. They all point down
and laugh, but look at him now. He grows stronger by the day, and he says he has
his wings back. Wyatt says nobody knows you better than he does. Daniel Bryan
